Description

Logging seizures and keeping a good diary is an essential skill for managing epilepsy and it has never been easier!

Renowned website, SeizureTracker.com is excited to bring you an innovative way to log seizures that builds on the Seizure Tracker experience. App users can time and videotape seizures simultaneously in this revolutionary and simple-to-use application. When you stop the video and timer, it immediately creates an event log that is stored in a seizure library. You can edit the event at any time to add additional details about triggers, seizure description and what happened afterward. You can also use this app to log seizures without videos attached.

Videos recorded through this app can be synchronized to SeizureTracker.com which allows them to be shared through the extensive website reporting capabilities.

Seizure Tracker was founded by the parents of a child with Epilepsy. We were searching for solutions to ease our own situation and in the process found a way to give back to the community and help others too. Our goal is to empower people living with Epilepsy while redefining the way information about seizures and Epilepsy is collected and shared.

Movie lover 8923,
Great app
We love this app to track our daughter's seizures. We use it every time. It's great to be able to look back and remember information about specific events. It's a great tool to be able to show the doctors what her episodes are like or if one is different than her normal ones. My only suggestion to make this app more helpful, is if the videos would automatically save when you end them. Sometimes in the moment you don't have time to save it and then forget to. If you close the app without saving, you then lose the video and all the time/date information. It would be great if the video/quick capture would save episodes automatically when you end the video recording. Then if you need to go back in on a specific seizure episode, you can add extra information later.
Tstarrett,
Great App! So helpful!
My husband has epilepsy and I keep track of everything. I used to just keep info in a calendar, but this is so much better because I would sometimes forget important things to note about his seizures and this app prompts me to note everything.
I love that the app on my phone and can view/update whenever I am. I love that I can print out the information for his doctor too! I highly recommend this app for anyone with seizure or if you have a loved one with seizures. This is the best app for tracking!!
SDjacaranda,
Lacks atypical seizure options
For people with praxis-induced, reflexive seizures, you can only list the triggers as “other” rather than identifying coordinated movements, multitasking, and type of sensory stimulus that may have triggered the seizure (type of sound (siren, beeping), smell, visually moving stimulus (car ride, movie).

Some of us have spinal injuries and brainstem injuries which cause muscle tone in both legs or both arms, hemipeligic, or alternating unilateral spasticity. The app only allows marking one leg or one arm at a time, the rest must be explained in the notes section.

Atypical focal spasticity or tonic locations like mouth, jaw, neck, feet/toes, hands/fingers aren’t included.

My seizure threshold is also impacted by rapid changes in barometric pressure—especially drops. I typically track that aspect with a migraine app, though it doesn’t typically cause migraines. it would be nice to have all that data in the same place.

I wish that it would save the video recording to my local phone/iPad in addition to the cloud.

I like that the video automatically times duration and I like that my family, caregiver and doctor can have valet access.
eclarep,
Great app. I’m lucky enough not to need it anymore
When I was first diagnosed, I had several simple partial seizures (after having been in the ICU with generalized status epilipticus). I used this app for a few weeks to keep track of the feelings of deja vu that my neurologist said were simple partial seizures. I stopped using it because I’m lucky that I haven’t had any major events. I just looked it up again tonight because of some deja Vu feelings (which my neurologist emphasized are “very small” seizures).
Aiwa805,
Does the job
Of all the apps I've tried, this one is the least objectional, for me. VNS usage tracking is a must, a feature most other apps are missing.

It only gets 4 stars because of a key feature I see it's missing. Presently you have to open the app, hit the plus button, then fill in the blanks. Increasing accuracy of logs means you have to make logging easier, and faster. Leverage Force touch to jump straight to the log entry. It's small, but a critical UX enhancement to help with compliance. When you have 1-6 seizures per HOUR, the time savings adds up quickly.
DNT20,
Use it for every doc appt
I reference the website every doctor appointment. I’m able to tell doc what time in the morning she’s having lost of her seizures. The one thing I wish it also had is how many are happening on the day of the week. Doctor has asked what day is she having them mostly on, trying to find a pattern. It would be nice to say she’s having some many on Sunday, Monday etc. The app/ website is very helpful.
CoffeeMinion,
Great at what it does!
This app is really helpful for pooling our son’s seizure information between my wife and me, and makes it easier to keep track of things to share with his doctors. I mean it’s not very complex functionality (you could get by with a shared spreadsheet too), but it’s nice to have a dedicated app that just does this well.
Salenabar,
Great but...
I have been using this app very long time ago. Is fantastic when you input the information directly to your iPhone and record videos .... But when you attempt to use the app in the Apple Watch, it records once in a while. Maybe I’m using it wrongly. It is very useful tool when you only touch your watch and it starts counting time, but not always syncs with the phone.
Even though I strongly recommend this app.
charliebearthedoodle,
Great Resource
We are new to seizures and this app is great. It has been so helpful in tracking each of the incidents and being able to provide it to the neurologists. You feel like you have little control when your child has seizures and this app has made me feel like I’m doing what I can to get him the best care. I’m so thankful I found the app!!
RACU,
Do not use. Unreliable. Data loss
The app and companion apple watch app have been working great for months and now we are chronically loosing data. This is a medical logging tool and my wife and I use it to track our sons seizures. He had about 15 seizures today which is scary enough and now all that data is gone.
