Description

Introducing Color Squares, the perfect game for your little ones! Designed as baby's first app, Color Squares is a fun and entertaining way to work on your child's eye/hand coordination. With smooth animations and multi-finger fun, little fingers can clear the screen of bright and colorful squares. The game is packed with vibrant colors, and it's perfect for infants with no ads!

Color Squares is not just fun, but it also helps your child learn. As they color the screen with animated rectangles, they'll also learn to spot different colors, reinforcing their recognition skills and language.

But don't just take our word for it. Hear what our users are saying: "My kiddo is 19m and loves this game. He loves to see the things he already knows the word for."

"These types of games are what kids need to both learn and eat up some time," says another satisfied user.

The game is easy to play. Each level starts with a screen full of different colors. Each time you touch a square, it reveals the background color. Try and clear the screen of colorful squares!

With iPad/Retina support and smooth animations, Color Squares is the perfect game for your little ones. Get it now and let your child explore the world of colors and coordination!

Christine Atlanta,
Great Company
I LOVE the frustration free part of this. I get tired of my daughter hitting the X or menu button on other apps by accident. She loves this one and the bubble pop one. The only suggestion is that I would like to see the pictures be even simpler since this is an early infant app. Maybe with shapes instead of complicated images. Maybe even with 2 levels for basic shapes then other images. That is my only suggestion otherwise I love the apps. Keep them coming.

Color Squares is a relaxing cause and effect game for the very young - although it can be quite addicting for adults. The premise of this app is to remove the color squares (they appear as if they are stickies left on the screen), to reveal the color beneath. The colors are rich, and not so visually bright to overwhelm photosensitive kids. The music is sweet and encouraging, and there is no overlay of voices - especially if a child has high tone or difficulty with multiprocessing. It is also great to use with kids who do not have fine hand control as you can swipe or place your hand on the screen to remove the squares. I think that this is very thoughtful of the developer as all kids, including kids with special needs, can be successful with this app. A great companion to Ellie's other app "Color Dots".
Shoobiedoo,
Well done
I'm not in favor of apps for babies or toddlers, and this is the only app I have in the "under 5" category. I use it for emergencies when I really need a distraction. It's well done and simple. I've the developer's other apps, too, and they all have a similar design theme.

Recommended.

There needs to be interactive sounds for when you hit the squares. That would serve as stimulation for the young ones and incentive to even hit a square. It's kind of boring and dull for infants. Also like someone else said, the shapes need to be a little less complicated. Not too bad of an app, just mostly boring for my daughter. Without sound, she doesn't really care to hit a square. That's half the fun for them.

Disappointed
My nine-month-old loves the colored dots app and we have used it on road trips when she has gotten really fussy. This app seems much more dull and I agree that there needs to be interactive sounds with hitting the squares. She is not interested in it at all. I also agree that the shapes should be more basic...why a wrench?? Maybe just use things like animals or basic shapes, etc?
MadClouds,
Awesome update!
My daughter LOVES this update! Great pictures and sounds!
Amkasada,
Love this!
I am a child photographer and I do some babysitting on side. I love this app! I always keep my phone close to me as a distraction if needed. I have other apps for kids but I use this one much more frequently. The kids love the colors and the way they change from color to white to a different color and then get smaller on the next round. If a child in my studio is getting antsy when their parents are looking at all the photos trying to decide what to buy, I hand that child my phone with this app up. I know I can always get an extra 5-10 mins (at least) with the parents that equals more sales. This is good for all ages including adults!!! I have fun with this app as well!!! It is a very good stress reliever. Great job with this app!!!!!!!! It does exactly what it says it does.
papagena1,
Please add sounds, not background music!
I could never get my baby as interested in this game as she was in Color Dots because it doesn't produce a sound (i.e. deliver positive reinforcement) when she touches the right square. Now they have added background music, but that's not really an improvement, IMHO. So many of her toys make a constant stream on background music that she seems numb to it. Also, it would be good to have a special sound/visual display (sparkles) when you finish a level!
Anniesinger,
Color Squares
Color Squares is a very soothing app to play. Beginning with 4 large squares of different colors, the player is to turn them to change them all to the same color. Once all squares have been turned a new page opens with more squares, each new page expands in number of squares to turn. The background music is nice and it is fun to try and make a pattern or design as you turn over the squares. Good for small ones learning their colors and fine motor control, but equally appealing to adults. There are no in app purchases, but access to the developer can be found in the about button.
Sebemase,
Amazing App
This app is amazing. I wasn't ever really sure my son could ever use any app independently, at 17 he finally did. He has been playing for a couple of hours now. He is visually impaired and has severe spastic quad cp. Very nice. Only thing hard for him is trying to figure out the colors when they are just a shade different from each other.
