I’m always happy when Mad Head Games releases something new for iOS, although this was not one of their best games. Somehow it lacked the creepiness of the previous Shadowplay games, and whereas their earlier games would wow me with either the story, gameplay, puzzles or HOGs, this was average. However, even an average game from Mad Head is better than some of the other games we get, and although I found (and lost) more cutting tools than I should have, at least some of them I got to use twice (sorry but my pet peeve is when developers waste our time by having us find a knife, sharp rock or shell, piece of glass wrapped with a hankie over and over again ad nauseum).
There were no glitches in game play at all, all the way through the bonus game. I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t an “ultimate HOG” game in the extras, but at least we did have morphing objects in each scene as well as their HOGs, and the map was handily located in the main screen, instead of buried in the menu.
My true rating is 3.5 stars but bumped up to 4 stars because of fantastic early discount Mad Head is giving to their games.
