Samori Benjamin,
Loved this tour of Chinatown
This is the first time I have ever used an app like this to go on any kind of tour and I have to say that I think it’s a great invention. You can do it at your own pace and even by yourself if you want. If you are with a group then everyone can do it together. The audio was filled with great information, easy to follow, and a pleasure. There is a companion written part as well where you can read everything that is being said through the audio.

I could close my eyes or even keep them open and picture myself in the 1800 and 1900’s at the very spot that I was standing. The directions are also easy to follow as well. I would recommend this to any out of towner or even New York resident like myself. Even though I’m born and raised in New York City I learned a whole lot about this part of the city. I look forward to taking another one of these sidewalk app audio tours!!

First Tour with the app
I took the Little Italy tour and while I live in NYC and have been to Little Italy, it was a lot of fun to actually learn some history. I of course didn’t know anything about the history. Very cool and old places to check out and learn about the community of Italian Immigrants who endured a lot of hardship and brought some amazing foods and culture to NYC. Highly recommend! I would have a portable charger on hand though. My battery went down a lot, but my battery health is at 88% and can drain quickly.

Perfect for lone traveler!
This whole concept is perfect. Having the ability to take a walking tour on your own time and the ability to stop, rewind, or even skip is so convenient.
Add that the guide’s voice is clear & casual like that informative friend walking you around their favorite city who happens to know some really cool info that you actually care about, and you have yourself the perfect “tourist” day without being the actual tourist group following that lady with a giant sign.
Love this app and hope cities keep being added!

Loved all three tours
As a NYC Local I loved the way these tours taught me about the smaller details and nuances of neighborhoods that I thought I knew pretty well. Compared to other walking tours the content is much more engaging and I love that you can take breaks to do your own exploring. Definitely recommend.

Spoiled now
This is the best! Little Italy tour was really cool! We are totally spoiled now, and hope to not have to go back to the “big group guided tours” ever again. This was definitely a go at your own pace, take your time and learn. So much more fun. So perfect!
