I bought thinking this was what I needed. Turned out, it was a waste of my money. First I kept getting notifications that it got stuck in customs in Italy then it got stuck in customs in the United States before it got to me. Then when it got to me. The instructions where so small I had to use my camera on my phone to take picture of them then blow them up so I could read them. After all that, once I figured out that it ran on it’s own WiFi connection, all it would show is a green screen and absolutely nothing else. Piece of crap, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY !!!!!

I have used many different brands of otoscopes for the last 20 years. I’m retired now but I thought this would be a neat new tool. Setup was easy although I had to shoot a picture of the instructions and blow them up to be able to read them. Way too small to read with old eyes. Setup was easy. I used my iPad to download the program and the unit found my router rather quickly. It did say it could not find the internet but then the communication was between the unit and my iPad. Internet not needed. The screen size, even on my iPad, is small. Very disappointing. The camera has to be 2 to 3 millimeters close to what you want to view so a complete view of the ear canal, from opening to eardrum, is impossible. Bottom line this is really a toy, a fun toy, that can be used in several different ways. As the old saying goes, “you get what you pay for”.

I had the same problem as everyone else. The camera would not connect to the phone. I kept fooling with it, until I finally saw the device pop up on the wi-fi list. After I switched my wi-fi settings to the camera, it immediately connected. The camera is its own wi-fi network.
It’s just slow to show up in the network list and a little wonky. Look for an unsecured network ID in your wi-fi settings. I think it starts with “HDN…”something. That’s your camera. As soon as you select that network you should start seeing an image. If you don’t see it after restarting everything and giving it plenty of time to find it, your camera is probably faulty.
It works just like the camera on my wife’s drone.
Now I have to send an email to them and apologize for the previous one I sent them.

After reading reviews I thought this thing would be a dud, but it is far better than I imagined. Remember it is Wi-Fi not Bluetooth. You connect your phone to the pen (which shows up in your Wi-Fi network list) once you connect …away you go cleaning all the ears and taking videos in the app. It’s a little wonky getting connected because the directions are very unclear, but don’t give up…look in your Wi-Fi list for a new random unsecured network and connect to it. Make sure to allow access when asked. Then in the app you will see the image from the camera. Happy cleaning!

So lots of people are on here complaining that they can’t connect their stuff to the app but I had that problem too, I think the REAL problem is that they don’t really say clearly what you gotta do. So you have to LITERALLY connect to it as a wifi, no password, just connect to one u see that’s open and it’s probably it. Gonna have to do 4 stars because of that but also I kinda just don’t like the auto flip feature, really messes me up as I’m already trying to mirror my movements. Good product tho, just the app is wack

The app worked for me no problem - just need to connect to Wi-Fi not Bluetooth. I was a little concerned about it wanting to connect to my networks but said OK, at least while using the app. Anyhow, once connected the cleaning tool worked great and I got out a bunch of ear wax! My wife wouldn’t help me so I did it myself. I was more successful with one ear than the other but will try again later.

Given some of the reviews and the overall average for this app, I was concerned about the wisdom of my purchase (the hardware). My own experience was great. The instructions were clear and concise, connecting and using the app with my phone was easy. Viewing and cleaning (though a bit icky lol) was a fascinating experience (default magnification about 500%), with satisfactory results. The earpick and this app are great!

I bought this device thinking it would be awesome. However, it’s VERY dangerous to stick something in ur ear because u risk rupturing an ear drum which I’ve heard it EXTREMELY painful!!
After realizing this probably wasn’t the best use of my money, I got creative and discovered I could use it in different ways. I actually put it in my mouth to see a close up of my teeth. It’s just fun. To be honest it’s kinda a toy. I wouldn’t recommend this app for ears but it’s fun at the same time for other reasons.

I wasn’t expecting much from this when I ordered it off of the Facebook ad. It actually works remarkably well. The clarity of the picture is excellent and the ear probe is firm enough to get things out but not so hard you’re likely to damage yourself. As the other reviewers said, connect to the device via it’s Wi-Fi signal.

Easy to use but requires correct set up, and the directions aren’t the best. Once powered on you will see it under your WiFi networks. Just click on the new network name and make sure the device is on. Do not use Bluetooth, the device name will show up under ‘WiFi Devices’ after 1-2 minutes or less.
