Wow! This is an amazing accesible tool for turning podcasts into planted thoughts for later! I was previously pausing to enter the episode along with notes/thoughts into my Trello. Entering the title was important so I can later search for the speaker and refer to the episode. But the manual entry was a big drag on my flow! Now, I make a snip and it automatically syncs to Notion so I can search for not only my notes but also the title of the episode from there! Time saver! Plus, being able to see & extract the transcript for my clip is beyond time saving because I never even dared to try that on my own. My only 1 suggestion is for the AI transcript to continue to improve. But I’m still giving this a 5 star rating, because it works and I know they’re working on that. THANK YOU SNIPD!

Totally garbage and deceive the users
Last year, I was disappointed about this broken thing because it only allowed users to migrate into it but not export data. I sent an email to request to delete the account. As a result, the product team replied that there was no such function; the person in charge of operating account deletion went on vacation and you have to wait for half a month! After waiting for half a month, someone finally replied that your account had been successfully deleted. But after at least one year, in order to research on the new features of this product, I downloaded it back. I didn't make any operation, but I was logged in to the old account that should have been deleted more than a year ago! The playback record and subscription list are just there in my eyes. You never give the users the right to delete the account and you lie to you user? WHY?
Back to the AI feature and the community curated snips: they are nearly unusable. Every single podcast is not processed so you have to use your paid hours to process, which is TWICE the price as whisper AI if you know how to invoke it from API. The taste of so called groups are just so philistine that you won’t want to listen to their snips if you value your time and brain so much that you use AI to process more knowledge. Don’t waste your time here because I have wasted mine to test. Twice.
Back to the AI feature and the community curated snips: they are nearly unusable. Huge potential
As a major podcast junkie and avid note taker this podcast could be exactly what I’m looking for. Amazing experience so far and I’m sure many improvements are coming but here is my biggest criteria for a podcast app: I need to be able to group podcasts by category and then be able to scroll through categories and see thumbnails of all the podcasts (not episodes) I have in that group. Stitcher nailed this, CastBox does it pretty well too. If snipd can do this they will win me over and many other people who have subscribed to way too many podcasts! Cheers

Solid Podcast App With Logical Queue
Many of the free—and some of the paid—iOS podcast apps have queue functionality that makes very little sense. Snipd makes it easy: add episodes to a queue, reorder them as you wish, and—thank goodness—when you decide to listen to a different episode, the one you were listening to is just bumped down to next up in your queue. Not removed from the queue altogether like many other apps, just moved down so you can restart that episode later. Again, logical. Additionally, the ability to create customized feeds is great so you can quickly see new episodes within a specific category, like Sports, News, Politics, or anything you want. And the app looks clean and works pretty smoothly.
Hope the devs keep making smart improvements. Snipd is true hidden gem among podcast apps.

A 5 star app that gets 4 stars…
This app deserves all the praise being heaped upon it. It’s a brilliantly and thoughtfully designed podcast player that instantly became my favorite. Download it and you’ll see.
But one feature has been overlooked, and it is huge… There’s no way to skip x amount of time on the intro of podcasts. I didn’t realize how much I loved this feature until I didn’t have it. Nobody wants to listen to one or two or five minutes of the same introduction on every episode. Being able to set up a specific amount of time to skip at the beginning of each podcast is a vital feature.
That issue aside, I highly recommend this app, and I hope the developers will continue to pour their creativity into it in the days to come. They’ve done a brilliant job so far!

Not ready for prime time
I’ve been using this for 3+ months and have even shared feedback with the team. I believe I have spent enough time for a fair evaluation. This app has aspirations to create community by sharing podcasts snips; however, the app fails at just being a capable player. Far too often it loses its place if I pause, exit, and renter the app. When I wish to skip ahead it will jump to another podcast entirely, restart my existing one, or just freeze entirely. I tried to use this app when my phone was in offline mode as I traveled overseas, and it could not keep track of my progress or work well to forward or rewind. Im disappointed as I wanted a podcast player that allowed me to bookmark and share clips, unfortunately this isn’t it.

Amazing execution and useful features, thanks for this app. My only dislike so far is that exporting snips to the Obsidian app is a mess. Even if I only select “Transcript” to export, I get a new title header, podcast artwork, snip header, timestamp, full podcast audio clip, THEN the transcript that I have to click to expand, with a mess of block quotes and summary formatting around it, THEN the “created with Snipd” tagline, when all I’m wanting is the transcript text. So it’s currently a hassle to delete so much around every snip import.
Also I can play podcasts on a 2020 RAV4 audio screen (Bluetooth connection), but it won’t let me pause the the podcasts on the same interface.

Literally the best. Airr and Castro should take notes
I've used close to a dozen other podcast apps trying to find something that was as intuitive as Castro with the audio clipping features of Airr. Snipd is by far and away the best app for listening to podcasts. It's also improving all the time. If you don't like something wait a few weeks and it'll probably be fixed.
The discord server with the developer is pretty active and you can request features and bring up issues with the app.

So good.
This app is amazing. This has added a new element to how I consume podcasts and now allows me to grasp more information from them. If you’re at all into retaining info from podcasts then you need this app.
Eagerly awaiting the future developments of this app. Incorporating large language models into the application as well to help deduce the content to digestible bits will only get better and better. Along with Podcast 2.0 and the way this area if evolving is very exciting. It’s like the early 2000s all over again when podcasts just started coming out.

Best podcast app hands down
Everything about this app is amazing. The east to engage UI, the workflows, the AI features, and the community. Back in January, I thought this app couldn’t get better but that was until they added the community features. Being able to share snips and interact in groups in such an amazing tool. Being able to chat and discuss about your favorite podcasts let’s you understand and enjoy the podcast more. Overall amazing app and shoutout to the developers.
