Okay. How to start it off.. the game is really fun and enjoyable n all. But GREAT HEAVENS. The level 2-3 (boss: supreme supreme) is the MOST annoying boss. No matter how many times I try to level up my dolls, no matter what I do.. this dang boss STILL defeats me. I can even get the boss confused and unable to fight back for what EVER REASON she gains EXTREME AMOUNTS OF HEALTH BACK. -_- I have already spent money on this game and I’m not putting anymore. Maybe if I could get some advice I would appreciate it -_-

Okay let’s get this out of the way. This isn’t a game that will let you steamroll it through brute force. If you aren’t willing to take the time to think through problems it’s best you turn somewhere else.

Now then; This game is awesome. I tell ya what, I usually hate all gachas with a passion because of their cheap, manipulative, gameplay that coerces you into spending to make the game easier. The only exceptions I’ve found to the rule are this game and Girls’ Frontline. You don’t NEED to spend money i. This game to progress, but you DO need to take your time digesting it. This isn’t a “snack” so to speak. It’s a 3 course meal at a good restaurant. Everything is unlocked at a reasonable pace so just sit back and play for a couple of hours.

Now I could go into MUUUCH greater detail on how great this game is and that it’s worth spending money here as opposed to the rest of the garbage on this godforsaken store app, but this is an appstore review so I’ll assume you want it brief. Play the game. If you like everything about it, feel free to spend some cash. If you have a gambling problem, there are healthier outlets somewhere else.

I got stuck on the boss of 1-6. It was really dumb because there was nothing I could do to defeat it. I couldn’t upgrade my units because they reached max level at lvl 6, I couldn’t boost them in any way because that requires items found in the stages, I couldn’t summon new units because that required summon tickets or gems, which I had no way of obtaining through gameplay, so I received them via daily rewards, but to no avail because no matter what unit I got, they weren’t powerful enough to defeat this boss when I powered them up. I don’t think there should be such a big difficulty spike so early on. Leave the difficulty ramping to after the player’s unlocked all the basic stuff! I was practically softlocked before I even started the game, which is such a shame because the game itself seemed pretty good up until this boss. As for that boss, my problem is that my characters can’t out-damage it’s healing capabilities, and there’s no way to boost unit damage beyond a certain point at this stage of the game. I might actually try playing this game if that boss gets nerfed though. TLDR, nerf boss 1-6.

Soul Tide is a new gacha game that combines concepts from games like Illusion Connect and Girls’ Frontline. You can give gifts to and date your characters (IC) and the main story stages contain puzzles/exploration mechanics. (GF) My favorite mechanic of the game so far is the special, rotating rate-up gacha banner that guarantees a new doll for your first 10 pulls, at 50% the normal “free” currency price. (2000 crystals) There are an additional 3 discounted 10-pulls per banner, but they require paid currency.

Combat is fairly similar to Girls’ Frontline, but Verves (stigmata from honkai) add a degree of customization to your dolls. The UI is a bit cluttered and there are some translation issues, but as the English version was released only 3 days ago I don’t hold that against the developers.

Promising concept, looking forward to what’s next!

I honestly love literally 99% of this game. Gorgeous design, interesting setting, and tounge-in-cheek dialogue all pull you in. The battle system is a fresh take on the standard turn-based-phone-rpg, and the animated ultimate abilities are fantastic.

But the first time the game used the “r word”, I was a bit shocked. This slur is so outdated, I knew it had to be an odd translation issue, as it was used toward a character previously called a moron. The second time made me cringe and I considered deleting the game. Then earlier today, I got to a cut scene that was just tossing it in all over the place, and before scene finishing the scene, I closed the game out and deleted it.

I have ADHD. So does one of my kids, and my other child is autistic. We’ve all become familiar with how hurtful this word can be, and it’s become fairly well-accepted that this really isn’t a word in use anymore at a societal level. So there is no reason why a game this big should have it included, at all, for any reason.

I was so excited to play. I was sending screenshots into a group text with my wife and our friends regularly, talking about how amazing this game is. I wanted to badly to love this game. What a disappointment. I’m writing this review in the hopes others see it before downloading the game and being smacked in the face like I was.

I’ve been playing for 3 days… the starting characters are VERY GOOD, SS and S tier for the most part. So you can just save your currency honestly - you aren’t FORCED to roll for new chars. You can roll on Verve, but you will get those eventually also from logins, the battle pass, and some drops.

The game is engaging, I have to give it that. I was surprised to find the game to be that much fun. The difficulty is good, not back breaking. Good variety. No skip tickets needed to grind. More energy would be nice, it will eventually be your bottleneck.

The story is also surprisingly enjoyable, and the NPCs aren’t annoying. The MC has a good balance too, not just a guy with a hero or white knight complex.

The game crashes a few times, hopefully that gets fixed soon. And please, give us more rewards! I hope the game continues to improve, there’s potential here for a smash hit.

Turn-based FPS RPG with dungeon crawling. You don’t see your characters, which may turn you off, but the gameplay is solid. Each character has a basic, core, special and ultimate skill, and you can eventually mix and match between 2 skill sets for each character. This leads to some creative team building

However, this game comes with a lot of flaws. One glaring one is the localization. It’s decent at best and immersion-break at worst.

And the killer for me is the rates. As a gacha game, I don’t expect great rates. But rolling 200+ times on a banner featuring 2 characters, and getting only one character 5 times and an off-banner is completely off-putting. I have spent ~$70 US dollars on monthly passes, evoked license (battle pass), and packs.

And still didn’t even get the character I wanted. These rates are bad. While the game can be generous with its premium currency, the rates kill this game.

I deleted this game.

This game has potential. Overall mechanics are okay and good smooth user interface. But, the game lacks many options such as guilds, player versus player, or any type of community gameplay. Essentially, it is a singer player game where you do not interact with anyone else. Also, the lack of skipping battles or speeding up battles does not exist. It’s a slow game and the characters during battle aren’t even shown (just their portrait). Could have been better with more social interaction and speed.

I have to say, this is one of the most beautifully made mobile games that I’ve played in a while. Great story, great combat, great chibi art, great everything! The story hooks you in and doesn’t let go, and it has its funny moments. “ rolls away like a Baka” made me rofl. The characters are all unique and fun and it’s very free to play friendly.

I recommend everyone give it a try, it’s amazing!

This game has very nice character design, wifves very beautiful. Because VERY CHAR has L2D. Very very good.

What most attracts me is the storytelling. Every character has their story(before, current, date), more like Gal-Game. This makes me familiar with them, not like a card with a beautiful face.

Total gameplay is slow but interesting. If you like auto battle, it is not your type.
