Cool game with interesting story and characters... Great for those who like card based battle games... Seems like it will get expensive pretty fast though... I hope it's at least somewhat playable without buying gems, because I don't plan on spending on more than a couple of games at a time, and those spots are already taken....

I don’t normally write reviews, but playing this game left me so unsatisfied in such a short amount of time I wanted to save others from wasting their life playing this game.

I wanted to like this game, I really did. The artwork is gorgeous and was the main reason I downloaded this game in the first place. But, the “free to play” mechanics in this game are bonkers.

First, there’s the ads. After every battle, an ad pops up on your screen. It costs $4 to remove this “feature”. Then, after each battle your guys get “fatigued” which means after playing a few rounds, they start out with lower hit points. You can, of course, rest them up by waiting hours, or by spending “gems” which are rare unless you want to pay cash for them. Gems are also used to revive your guys in a fight, which is the only way to win some of these fights.

But, I get all that. It’s totally fair that they set the game up this way to make money. However, like some other reviews on here said, this game is _hard to play_ unless you spend money. Early in the game, maybe the 6th battle you fight, you’re put up against a boss that is nearly impossible to beat without spending money reviving your guys during the fight, or by buying gold to get better items for your squad.

This game has a lot of potential, I think, and I would gladly pay $4 for it if it was balanced and NOT F2P.

I was able to finish all available levels, without purchasing any add ones. This game is fairly glitchy throughout. Ads would sometimes unpredictably pop up, prompting inadvertent activation of the ad, but not too overwhelming - probably acceptable for a free app. Oftentimes would require restarting app because of glitches while equipping cards, and seldomly during gameplay (although this occurred several times during gameplay). Gameplay progression seemed a little uneven (got stuck for sometime on middle boss sword lady), whereas later bosses less problematic. After finishing, acquired mercenaries lost all equipment options (glitch). Like the art, gameplay generally, but still needs a lot of work on glitches throughout the game.

This could be a pretty fun game and there is some innovation for the ccg norm, BUT...beware....these guys are super greedy, you will see for yourself. The monetization is crazy expensive.....i laughed when I looked at the packages....seriously devs....get real. Also, i haven't seen a stamina system this horrible EVER...after the FIRST battle my heroes are already weakened and they want me to use the real money currency to "heal" them....its absolutely ridiculous. Devs....make some reasonable changes to monetization and the recharge/heal heroes system and I bet you would actually make some money....the current way things are people are going to just laugh and not play your game.

This is a very beautiful game. It's real time action where you have to pay attention. You get heroes and easily earn gold. You need the gold to learn you skills. They also let you earn gems which is the main currency to buy elite things which is great. The little adds that pop up are annoying but they are not timed or hard to close like some. Over all this game is fun to play and has very nice drawing to look at.

Look, I'm going to be honest here, I was the illustrator for this game so I'm pretty biased here. However, not being a huge gamer at heart, even I think this game is extremely fun. I know a lot of dang work went into this game and we're pretty proud of it. It looks fantastic and plays fantastic and everyone should at least give if a try. Also, it's very kid friendly!

I have enjoyed playing this game, It is unique with interesting characters and unique style. It offers just enough distraction to be entertaining but can easily be put down when attention is required in real life. It’s quite a challenge and fun to play. All together it’s a pretty good game that I’ll probably keep playing for a while. Thanks.

This game is very confusing when starting. Must read the direction thoroughly to be able to understand. The more you play the more charismatic. This is a great game for those who like battle games. I want to finish all the levels of the game. It challenged me.

I've been waiting for months for this game to cross the Atlantic. Now that it's finally here it's everything I hoped it would be! The artwork is gorgeous of course, being provided all by one artist (Steve Prescott, of Magic the Gathering fame). The play surprised me it's like real-time Hearthstone. Really quick and flavorful.

Excellent mechanics and engaging gameplay. The free to play aspects are a touch annoying though. It drip feeds gold too slowly. Id rather pay upfront to earn more gold consistently than constantly feel like I should pay another dollar.
