SoundFont Pro is the next generation soundfont player with a host of features that make your existing soundfonts sound like you have never heard them before. Record your music as well as vocals and share them from anywhere you are. You can overdub repeatedly in a non-destructive manner and build your composition over time.
SoundFont Pro is equally suitable for studio use as well as for live gigs.
SoundFont Pro is multi-timbral, multi-layered, and multi-zonal. This means that you can take an ordinary MIDI keyboard and assign key-ranges on the keyboard to different presets from different soundfonts and play the resulting arrangement much as you would play an arranger keyboard! Or set up different zones and assign input MIDI channels to receive MIDI from an external controller or from another MIDI app to specific zones.
The app comes with a selection of soundfonts. In addition to these, you can add user soundfonts from thousands of freely available soundfonts on the web as well.

SoundFont Pro has gone Multi-timbral with a bang. Here are the features of this major update:

• SoundFont Pro now introduces the concept of arrangements, much like how you set up arrangements on an Arranger keyboard.

• Touching and holding the Volume Knob for more than a second will make it very fine-grained. This will allow you to increment/decrement volume in very small steps easily to suit certain high-volume soundfonts, avoiding distortion.
• MIDI Panic button added.

• App Settings can be reset to defaults from the iOS Settings app. If you are having startup problems or otherwise just want to clear the settings, go to Settings, select SoundFont Pro and switch the Reset Settings to On. On next startup, the settings will be reset.
• Other bug fixes.
If you are updating from version 1.0, I strongly recommend that you reset the settings as described above after installing the update, before launching it.

Features rich, unable to play professional soundfonts
This program has many features, however is unable to play several sf2 files that other soundfont players in mac or windows are able to play without any problem.
I contacted the developer more than two months ago with this issue. I have many professional soundfonts that I'm able to play in Ableton Live and Propellerhead Reason flawlessly, but SoundFont Pro can't play them.
It's a pity since the program potentially can do a lot with sf2 files.

No longer works
This was one of my favorite apps on my old iPad. The only thing it didn’t do was to except midi volume changes, but I was able to achieve that by running it through GarageBand. Now, on my new iPad Pro, it distorts on every sound and it crashes often. If you fix this I will be very happy to give it five stars.

Great app for regular bread and butter sounds....
I like fact that it comes with preset soundfonts and you can layer them across the keys. I really thought i could use this in a live setting where i can switch presets by touching the preset side of the screen. But it highlights the preset but it doesnt auto load it, so it makes it hard to use it live as you would two load it manually in a two step process into arrangement or setup. I also thought i could workaround that by creating simple setups or arrangements but u cant hear the keys until u load the arrangement. Also the screen that the arrangement load screen doesnt stay open to add different arrangements. I still like the app cause i have a lot of bread and butter sounds but it needs more development and it can be a lot more useful for playing live with a midi controller at a church worship setting.

please please PLEASE implement MIDI learnable control over the parameters in this otherwise very powerful soundfont player. program change by MIDI control seems like such a no-brainer. if there's a way to do this i'm having trouble figuring it out.
but, of course, if i could map cc controllers to the functions on this it would be soooo valuable.

Great Start
Soundfont Pro has potential to be the best soundfont app in the App Store. A few updates, with some additional features will do it.
It has a beautiful UI, and everything's there on one page. Also, the Dev is looking for feedback.
