Description
Learn all about the vowel-gh digraphs “igh”, “eigh”, “ough”, and “augh”. This app also teaches about words that end “ing”, “ink”, “ang”, and “ank", plus the vowel digraph "au", and two more sounds for "ou" like in the words "you", "soup", "touch", and "young". Children are also introduced to the alternate spellings for the sound /n/ - "kn" and "gn". Letter teams are introduced individually in a fun video followed by the opportunity to read and/or write words with that team. Then children choose the letter team that can represent each isolated sound followed by selecting the team that can spell the missing sound in words, which develops both reading and spelling skills. You’ll be amazed at how easy it is for children to learn to read with this method!
We have 18 vowel sounds but only five vowel letters plus the letter "y". Most vowel sounds can be spelled in multiple ways including by vowel teams (digraphs). Reading failure (dyslexia) occurs when children are not able to figure out this complicated system that even most adults don’t fully understand, so they resort to ineffective strategies. Children don’t need to struggle and fail! The Sounds Have Letter Teams apps make this complicated system very clear, easy, and quick to learn.
