Greetings, Space Miners! We are proud to announce that our Shared Mining Initiative has successfully reached Version 1.0! As such, the Large Mining Company’s best engineers have added a number of massive improvements to your space mining experience. It’s so massive, in fact, that we briefly considered skipping directly to Version 2.0 instead!
- A New System Map! And it doesn’t just look better, it PLAYS better too! And because that’s kind of the whole point, we’re rather pleased with this one! Mining sectors, enemy bases, and missions will come and go on your map, simulating the ever-changing nature of our deep space asteroid mining paradise.
- Mining Outposts! Now those enemy bases throughout the Vega System will give you more than just the satisfaction of watching pretty explosions! Destroy Mining Outposts and you’ll take them over, earning yourself a constant flow of scrap and credits!
- Expanded language support! In preparation for the worldwide release of the Shared Mining Initiative, we realized that it would help if those players could actually read the in-game text. To that end, we’ve added translations for French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian!
- Fixed: General game balance and economy improvements to ensure that the Shared Mining Initiative provides a healthy challenge without repeatedly testing the limits to which humankind will go in order to succeed.
- Fixed: General art and visual improvements courtesy of LMC’s experimental Bright Sparklies Division.

Hello, Space Miners! This update improves stability and performance and addresses a lot of minor bugs and improvements based on your feedback. We hope you are enjoying our Early Miner Initiative!

Hello, Space Miners! We hope you’re enjoying our Early Miner Initiative! Our top engineers at the Large Mining Company have introduced a number of improvements designed to enhance your space mining experience:
* New Feature: Attack and Defense Replays! Thanks to our brand new security drone technology, you can now view replays from the Notifications screen. Attacks made before the security drone installation cannot be replayed, due to the complexities of the space-time continuum.
* New Feature: Revenge Attacks! While the Large Mining Company did not invent the concept of revenge, we did perfect it. Now, when another space miner attacks your base, you can tap the “Revenge” button in your Notifications screen to immediately launch a counter-attack!
* New Feature: PvP Shield Store! Got a lot of scrap saved up for a big turret upgrade? Saving those credits for a new ship system? Keep them safe from other players with our brand new PvP Shield Store! Buy a PvP Shield and you can protect your base for one, three, or seven days -- just don’t forget that attacking another player breaks the shield.
* Fixed: General economy and bug fixes to improve the stability of the Early Miner Initiative -- both programmatically and economically.

Hello, Space Miners! We hope you’re enjoying our Early Miner Initiative! Our top engineers at the Large Mining Company have introduced a number of improvements designed to enhance your space mining experience:
* Added: A brand new icon! Don’t worry, that robotic Shredder Drone is not actually escaping from your screen. The folks in the lab have it properly contained within the icon frame.
* Fixed: Space miners may have noticed an issue where quitting during the leveling up animation could result in permanent lock-out. Fortunately, we noticed, too.
* Fixed: An issue where space miner blasters would occasionally travel through the ground of a rival miner base has been rectified. Blaster fire now appropriately follows the laws of physics.
* Fixed: The Mining Guild leaderboard now appropriately displays more than four entries. The Vega System is big enough for many more Mining Guilds, and we look forward to seeing enterprising teams of space miners create their own!
* Fixed: Several crashes and nasty bugs, as being forcefully ejected from the space mining experience is in direct opposition to an optimal space mining experience.
* Particle effects have been improved for Retina-enabled iPads, allowing these space miners to now fully appreciate the labors of the Large Mining Company’s Bright Sparklies Division.
* Improvements made to the Large Mining Company’s “Inviso-Cloak” technology, used in the Force Wave Tower and Sapper Turret defenses. In addition to being invisible, these structures are now completely invulnerable until their defense systems are activated.
* General improvements to user interface and menu controls. Because when you can’t control your controls, why are they even called controls?
