This is a great game but for one thing. When the opponents bid "O" my partner doesn’t adjust his strategy to compete with them. He leads in every case, with his highest card instead of a low card to force the "O" bidder to throw high. The other team will try to trip me up if their bid will allow it. This is the best Spades game there is. Why does your other Spades game charge $1.99 to download? Can you fix my "North" partner? I love playing this game except when I want to crack my partner over the head! Heh, heh violent grandmother!

Love this game. I just wish that they had Automatic Play when you only have one card left for a suit. It only works for the last play of the game. Plus they need to add the bid 10 get 200 once you make your bid!! These are the only two things missing. Overall this game is a lot of fun!!!

I’ve been playing this for awhile and it is a time killer but your partner is never to be relied on. I have to adjust my bid down at least one because they almost NEVER get their bid. If I go nil it doesn’t cover for me. If the other team plays nil it still plays all of its high cards. I just played and went nil and it came down to the last two cards. It had made its bid, it chose to lead with an 8 in the suit even though it had the king, there by making my Q high.?? Always bids too high… when I adjust my bid lower to cover him which is almost every hand…suddenly it will start making its bid causing my lowered bid to bring in bags. Very irritating. Play at your own risk of sanity…

1. N bids nil holding 10, 9, 8, 7 of Spades. Another game, after I had bid 3, my so-called partner bid nil with K, 3 of hearts and K, J, 10, 9 of Clubs! How is anyone supposed to cover that? And in that game we had been more than 100 points ahead..but we lost the game. If the bot had just bid 1, we would’ve won! The opponents NEVER bid that stupidly! 2. West bids nil. I‘ve led the A, K of a 5 card suit and am still holding the Q and 2 small cards. N has discarded on my K. I then play my lowest heart. West plays the Jack! Yeah, I think, their nil is broken! Wrong—North , my alleged partner, trumps the trick! 3. Partner often overbids…2, 3, 4 games in a row!
Whoever programmed this AI doesn’t know how to play Spades! Incidents like this happen often!

It’s certainly good for teaching the basics and some strategies. Lead bidder rotation and scoring are mostly accurate. Computer partner could definitely use some work. Other aspects are more annoying. Fundamental rules of the game are absolutely crucial and the fact that it is nearly impossible to consider deals to be completely random makes it apparent that at least one is being overlooked. It is most apparent given that, in over 100 games, no computer player has received the Ace of spades on a blind Nil bid but I receive it 30 to 35 percent of the time. These issue could be corrected and a great game would be the result.

The Game makes mistakes that are quite stupid: tops partner’s K with the Ace when it has another card in suit, does not trump it’s partner’s lead when there are many higher in suit cards yet to be played, really dumb about nil bids in many respects. The game has no contextual sense at all. Worst aspect is “optimistic bidding”. North, the AI, fails its bid 35% of the time: totally unacceptable. Every once in a while the scoring goes nuts: charges for 40 failed nil bids in one hand!!! Often more worried about the bag count that setting the opponents. Still, fun most of the time.

Good game, easy to view. You can learn/cheat yourself with the undo and also look at the other hands cards. These learning/cheat tools actually helps you understand how to play better. Also if you touch the wrong card you can undo. That’s what I like. No frustration playing this game, just fun! The rundown on stats could be better, but it is a free game!!!

The South facing player often undercuts its North partner, especially when North bids double nil.. Not quite intuitive enough. It’s as if South is not fully aware of the bids made by North. Also, North plays the first trick first in every hand. Once in a while West will play first, but that’s not consistent. Usually the player to the left of the dealer leads the first trick. This doesn’t happen at all. Otherwise, the best of all similar games.

I had high hopes at the start. Then I went nil. My partner plays low cards and sets me. Mind you, spades has been broken and he’s sitting on several high spades but he opts to lead with 3 of hearts. I’ve given no indication I’m out of hearts, either. Then the other team goes nil. He plays all his high cards with no effort to try and set them. He’s only bidding 2 and ends up with 6. If this happened once, so be it. But after more games than I care to count, I’ve been let down again by a retarded partner.
Going to one star. Asinine play, how can you program this to be so stupid?

I’ve been playing Spades for 40 years on and off line. These are the most stupid robots to play with. They go Neil with a jack, 10,9 and 8 of spades all the time and it’s only 3 cards that can be covered. Or when you go to Neal they don’t cover you. Try a different speed game don’t waste your time with this. They do it all the time my partner and the other team. I won’t need all the other day and my partner would not use a spade and she had a king in Ace of fades
