This is a review of the Spektacom service. While the app may seem very basic, it accumulates a truly astounding amount of information on every single shot that you play and translates it into a metric that you can track and compare between shots. The sticker at the back of your bat measures the backlift angle, the downswing angle and speed, the velocity at the moment of contact, the exact point of contact, the rotation of the bat in your hand at the moment of impact, whether you played early, late or timed it perfectly and a whole lot more.
The data by itself is just one piece of the puzzle. It’s the analysis that the Spektacom team provides which translates what’s recorded into a plan of action that you can implement to understand your areas of improvement. This is a real differentiator for anyone willing to put in the time and effort to go to the next level!
