We fixed a small bug so that food bloggers can set up their profiles (and can feature recipes on their profiles!)
1.10.1
2023-07-10
A few small fixes for searching within a profile, and we've gotten HelloFresh recipes to work this time (we promise!)

Plus, we've tweaked the trending recipes to show you new (exciting! different!) recipes more often.
1.10.0
2023-07-06
We've added a brand new way to organize your recipes into meal plans for the upcoming week. Easily save recipes into a meal plan, and add them to specific days of the week as needed. Publish your meal plan to the news feed so that others can be inspired by your meal plan, or keep the plan private.

This version also includes improvements to handle recipes from HelloFresh, Facebook videos, and a number of other sites that weren't importing correctly.
1.9.3
2023-06-16
We're not quite joining the robot revolution, but we did make some big upgrades to our search functionality!

We also improved our handling of TikToks when you save them.

Lastly, we had a bug where copying a link to certain recipes didn't quite do what it promised to do... that's been fixed now as well!
1.9.2
2023-06-02
More improvements for importing recipes, plus a new flow to let you request changes in case we're missing some details for your recipes!
1.9.1
2023-05-21
We noticed that people were having trouble saving YouTube videos, so we added some fixes to make that smoother! Also includes a few bonus improvements to hopefully make it easier to save recipes directly from your browser using Quick Save.
1.9.0
2023-05-13

We've also made it easier to see what recipes your friends have saved – if you see a small person icon on a recipe, that means someone you follow has saved it! Tap on the icon and check out who.

1.3.3
2023-01-06
Fix for an issue with our news feed occasionally refreshing funny. All this January cooking activity has us excited!
1.3.2
2023-01-03
We fixed a small bug that was preventing you from seeing the bottom of recipes! Now you can see the whole recipe, and nothing but the recipe, so help us.

We also identified an issue with ingredients for your own recipes getting confused by commas. Now you can use all the commas you want (within reason).
1.3.1

We all LOVE finding recipes online, but sometimes the recipe you want to save isn't on the web. Maybe it's the family heirloom your kids are bugging you to write down! Or one that you made up yourself and brought to that dinner party...

Now you can save it in Spillt! Just add some ingredients, some instructions, and some photos to tell the world how to make your favorite dishes.

Upload your grandmother's famous cookies, the spaghetti your parents made for your birthday... really anything!

We can't wait to see what you're making :)

eeeelexa,
Amazing app
I love this app! It’s so great to have one place to save all the recipes you find online. I used to have them all over the place (in safari bookmarks, Pinterest, notes, you name it), but with Spillt I can easily find and categorize everything in one place. I always have a hard tim deciding what to cook but this app has made it much easier to get over the “what do I want to eat” barrier because I can see recipes my friends have made or saved and use that as inspiration! The “search for ingredient” function is also STELLAR!! No more wondering “what can I make with 2 peppers and a pack of saffron”. I can’t wait to start cooking more and trying all the recipes I’ve saved!
kjgrz,
Incredible app!!!
This app completely streamlines the recipe saving experience. Spillt makes it incredibly quick and easy to store recipes in one place that I actually do it rather than adding yet another bookmark or screenshot to my “recipe book”.

My favorite feature is the ability to rate and add comments to the recipes you save. Now I don’t have to remember that I had to add 5 minutes to the cook time, or that I added more cinnamon to dish. ALSO, your screen stays lit the entire time you are viewing a recipe so you don’t have to constantly tap your screen while your hands are covered in the cookie dough you are making.

There are tons of other thoughtful features such as the ability to quickly see and save the ingredient list for a recipe and the “feed” to see what your friends are cooking.

Just trust me - this is the solution to all of your recipe saving problems!!

Extremely helpful app!!
This app is awesome for those of us who love to bookmark recipes online and then can never ever find them again. I just automatically save everything to Spillt and sort them however I want to. When I go to cook, it's so easy to see the ingredient list and the screen STAYS LIT when you're on a recipe so you don't have to wash your hands between every step to see what comes next. I can see what my friends are making too! It's so helpful and great for any home kitchen chef 💕

The solution I would build for myself if I was a developer!
I rarely write reviews for apps, but this is so functional and helpful, and I am telling everyone I know about it. I’m shocked this doesn’t have more users; it has the potential to be the goodreads of cooking!

I love the ability to save and categorize without leaving your web browser via the Share button, and I love how straightforward the features are - not a ton of fluff, just simple and clean and does what I want it to do.

Way better than Pinterest
I love that you can save and categorize recipes from any website here including all my favorite blogs. I also like that I can see what my friends have made and how they rated it. Plus, I’m able to support bloggers by leaving a rating and review on their recipes without having to leave the app and remember to go back to their website later. Love the “always on” screen feature too! Highly recommend if you love to cook and bake like I do.

Lifesaver!!!!
This app is amazing for keeping recipes organized, creating grocery lists, and discovering new dishes! I wish there were a way to edit recipes before/after importing them into the app (change title, modify ingredients, etc.) so users could customize them based on their preference. Would also be great if Spillt used the iPhone live text feature to more easily scan and upload written recipes! Excited to see what Spillt does next!!!

A Great Resource for Social Recipe Sharing
Spillt makes it easy to share recipes and find recipes I’d never find otherwise. I can seamlessly “share “ a recipe I find on the web directly to the app without leaving the web page. People also post reviews of recipes they make which is helpful as well. It’s easy to organize recipes into custom “collections” I create. It’s a great app especially when I can see what my friends are saving as well.
Fran FL,
Love It
Now I can save, find, review and use recipes from the internet all in one site - Spillt! No more printing and filing recipes and then forgetting where I filed them. No more screen going black in the middle of making a recipe when my hands are messy and I don’t want to touch the phone screen. No more trying to remember on what site I found a recipe. Save the recipe link to Spillt in files you’ve set up. Easy to find and easy to use. I love Spillt!

Life changing!
This app has changed the way I cook! It allows me to easily organize and save online recipes so that I actually test out a new meal instead of letting it fade into the ether of my memory or a scary Google doc. I also love that I can search all my recipes by a single ingredient (no more slimy herbs in this fridge). I’m fangirling over new bloggers now too because I can save my fav tahini dressing instead of googling for a new one every time 🔥🍔🥗🍝🥞

No Method For Signup without Phone Number
At this day and age, any app developer should be aware that a phone number is, in some respects, more valuable than a social security number. Expecting users to fork over sensitive data without building any trust is outlandish and suspect at best. Apple and other OS platforms have provided methods for implementing secure account creation that also allow for anonymous account creation to obfuscate user data from collection methods. This has been in place for years, so there’s little reason for it to not be baked in to this app. Maybe there was no malicious intent, but after a certain point, the lack of implementation suggests use of dark pattern development.
