Amazing.
The app is a great adaptation of the website, and is a great replacement for the old app. Much easier to play here than with my mobile web browser, and all of the quiz types function far better here.
Admins have been very responsive, and most helpful, when assisting me.
The ads are much easier to deal with than they are on the website, as well.

Love Sporcle, app is a bit buggy though
I’m obsessed with Sporcle and love that it’s finally available in app form since responsive mode on phones didn’t really work well. The trivia games are so fun and depending on which ones you do, you can seriously learn new things. For example, I finally learned all the countries in the world & where they’re located from repeatedly playing Sporcle geography games
That being said, they still really need to work out the bugs. Sometimes slide-out/pop-up panes like notifications just refuse to load and show. Their ads are also buggy and sometimes freeze the entire app. They’re also like 10x more common than on the website version. I don’t mind apps since it’s a good way for them to make money, but Sporcle should at least make sure the apps aren’t making the app freeze to the point that I have to force quit it and restart the app to get out of the freeze.

Great site. Subpar app
If I was just rating Sporcle I’d give it a 4.5. I love it and have played their trivia games for years. my only complaint is not being able to filter by types of quiz within categories, and there’s an over abundance of quiz types that I don’t like. Like “sort these movies into t the decade they were released” but that’s just a personal nitpick.
My problem is with the app itself. It’s not at all optimized for mobile devices. Typing games are a pain. Games that take up a large amount of space aren’t sized to fit into the screen and often times you can’t scroll down and stay at a certain location. Sometimes you have to minimize your keyboard in order to see the bottom of a quiz then re-open your keyboard.

Ads ruin experience
I love that there is a sporcle app, and have used it a ton. I understand the need for ads on a free app, but the premium price is too steep for what is ultimately a phone game. With that said the current ad experience makes it really difficult to play, since you have to rewatch an ad after every attempt. Also I’ve been having ads run their full length and then become stuck so you can’t click out of them back into sporcle. Then I have to exit the app and try to find the same quiz again since there is no saved quizzes or most recent quizzes page. If we have to have ads they shouldn’t glitch out.
The text input boxes often cover up much of the quiz/pictures and the zoom/cursor movements make it difficult to see the entire quiz.

Quite literally horrendous
I can deal with ads on a free app, and I get why they’re there. But having to watch two 30+ second ads between each quiz, where you have to click two buttons (per ad) to close the ad is entirely too much, especially when the buttons are purposefully designed to fail and open the advertisement anyway. It takes 2-3 tries (4-6 clicks) minimum to successfully close each ad after the punishing 30 seconds you have to watch it for. And just when you’re about to give in and pay to remove them, you find out it’s $60/year 😭 girl. That is so bold it would actually be pretty funny if it weren’t so thoroughly heinous. Gotta admire the gall but I’ll be deleting this 💀

Good, but it's just the regular mobile site
I've been using Sporcle for about a few years now and I'm glad they finally put out a mobile app! Unfortunately, it seems to just be the mobile site just without the advertisements covering up everything. It's hard to find quizzes that are not published (meaning that they're approved by Sporcle admins), and your selection is limited when you look at certain categories.

Love Sporcle!!!!
I downloaded Sporcle into my phone and I was beyond impressed by how functional and amazing the app was after loving the website so much! I’m a geography nerd so having this app on my phone is amazing for long car rides or just some down time. I have put all my friends onto it and now we see who gets higher scores! Love love love!!!!

Very fun
I have been playing Sporcle for a while now, it is fun and great for mobile users. Although, like any other game, there are problems and bugs. Whenever I try and click on them, it doesn’t even work. I’ve been having this problem many times, maybe it could be because of the quiz itself. Secondly, ADS. Please fix these annoying ads. Overall, good game I would highly recommend it.

Pros and Cons to old app
There are pros to the new app. Pros: It’s more like the website with graphics and pictures, lots more quizzes. There are some cons: the instructions for many quizzes are lacking, there’s no way to buy hints, the commercials will ruin your quiz progress so it’s best to buy the premium package, the times to complete difficult quizzes are very short, you don’t get badge credit unless you play with the timer so you’ll need to practice multiple times to get fast if it’s a long quiz.

Fun but buggy
Ads are everywhere in the free version. They appear in quiz selection and after every quiz. One ad became a blank pane that blocked half my screen until I closed the app. Some quizzes don't work well on phone screen and really require a traditional PC screen.
