★ The first thing you'll notice is the new name. "3D Drum Kit" is out. Who names an app something boring like "3D Drum Kit", anyway? It's now called "Spotlight Drums" and there's a shiny new icon to go with the new name.
★ The app has been COMPLETELY REBUILT FROM SCRATCH using modern iOS technology. Why? Imagine a 3 year old bowl of spaghetti. That's what the previous code looked like. The rewrite brings a lot of benefits, such as:
★ UNIVERSAL support! Gone are the days of separate iPhone and iPad versions. It's now one app to rule them all.
★ iPhone 5 optimized. Finally!
★ The graphics are now at least 300% less ugly. All 10 drum kits are now beautifully, individually textured. And there is all new stage lighting effects and fog effects.
★ The animations are 200% smoother. (This isn't a joke. The old version was capped at 30 FPS. If you've got a newer device, you'll now get 60 FPS. Nice!)

The Best; now make it better
This app is already awesome. I get lost for hours on end jamming with my playlist. Now I challenge them to take it a step further.
Let the user make his own kit. Let him pick the cymbals or the kick-drum they want. Let him have two snares and one rack tom. Let him have a Splash cymbal. Let him have a china. Let him stack them.
The frame-work is there, now lets throw some meat on there.

This is sick!!
This is the best drumming app hands down, now we need more! We need drum customizations if you want more customers!!! We want more drums, cymbals, and other equipment, other than that, the app is f'ing amazing. We need MORE! Hopefully you listen to your fans because this app has so much more potential.

This app is amazing and very high quality but i really wish that the open high-hat sound stopped when you hit the the closed high-hat. But overall its a great app

Great. I bought it about the day it came out and have loved it since. It desperately could use more kits, but each kit on this one is pretty different than the next.
If WaveMachineLabs (iGOG drum app maker, amazing app by the way, most realistic sampling on the iPhone) and this developer were to get together, one amazing baby would be made.
Overall, needs more sounds in my opinion, and customizability on the pads, but otherwise my second favorite other than iGOG.

A great model, but needs a bit more work
I enjoyed exploring this 3D model of a drum kit. I also noticed the speakers, and monitors on stage, as well as the key, fill, and back lights overhead (a nice touch). The lighting looked realistic.
The motion of the cymbals, and kick hammer, and high-hat pedal was also a nice touch.
Also liked being able to colorize the drums, and change lighting intensity.
The only complaint is that trying to play multiple items at once cause one or another to drop out. Don't know if that's some sort of polyphony limit thing with the sound card that's in the ipod touch, or memory thing involving all the motion, and 3D processing. Hope this can be addressed in a future update (if possible).
Would also be nice to have differetnt visual models for the different kits (I know, memory).
Otherwise, overall, it's pretty sweet interactive model.

Great App but something needs to be fixed
I love this app, the kits sound realistic and the graphics are awesome, but when you hit the open high hats and then close them, the sustain goes on. Also it would be great if you could mix and match the drums in cymbals under custom kit or something, some cymbals would sound great with other drums. Over all this app is great and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a reliable drum set app.

I know you're planning to, (or think) but you could add so much more to customize the set! Gongs, Chinese cymbals... You get it. Percussionists never just stick to one instrument... I think this app is amazing. It definetly helps than to stay at home and practice my set there. I can't just drag the set around with me, so this is an advantage for me! Hehe. Maybe you could add a feature where you could post the rythems you create on social Internet sites like facebook! :)

Amazing!
This is the first drum app I remember purchasing, and to this day, I still use it actively. It's got great sounds, a fluid interface, and is just all around great. The only thing I would gripe about would be potential randomization of velocities would be a nice feature, to humanize the playing. Still, it's an amazing app which I highly recommend.

I'd really like to hear more differences in the various kits. The kit with brushes still sounds too much like you're using sticks. The hihat could use some improvement between the open and closed sounds. I also agree that at least one cymbal should be a little louder and more "splashy".
Great first start but please continue updating and tweaking the app. I'd love to see this become the best drum app in the store.
