Added "*Use if your image appears blurry or you want to make it bigger" on export screen.
When saving at 1x it may look blurry in your camera roll. These images are not blurry just super tiny. If you want to use your image on something and they look blurry scale them up 10x or more. Keep in mind the image size at 1x is the same size as your project. So a 32x32 is only 32 pixels by 32 pixels and will look blurry when blown up or viewed in your camera roll.

Best app. Plz add Transparency Background PLZ!!!
I've tried out several pixel creator apps and I've find this one to be appealing and interesting. However, I do have one gripe and that is when I upload my imported .PNG file, it uploads the transparent background as white background instead of transparent. And the other problem is that when I export the same file, it's background is uploaded as white instead of transparent. And when I loaded the exported file to photoshop, the background is white instead of transparent which it should have been transparent just like how it was saved in photoshop before it was imported to this app.
Please add the transparency option for the image background when importing and allow to save background as transparent instead of white background. Thanks. Other than that, this is by far the best pixel creator out there! So, I'm giving it a 5 star. 👍🏻

Amazing! But there’s some kinks
I’ve been using this for over a year now and I adore the new interface (even if I had to battle the muscle memory of the old one) and the app overall but few things that I’ve been thinking about,
First of all there’s what I believe is a nasty bug. This is a problem I’ve only come across after the update, some of my older sprites (which opened fine before) now cannot load and crash the app. This hasn’t happened from any other update so I assume it’s because of the new one. I’m lucky the sprites this happened to I have exports of, but I’m still going to have to recreate them and I’m afraid of this happening to a file I don’t have a export of. It seems random on the sprites it affects, so I have no idea how to prevent it.
2. Opacity: the fact that it doesn’t keep the color when it merges is rather irritating, like I want to make a character underwater so I have a blue color with opacity on it, but when it merges it becomes solid blue meaning I just have to recolor it manually.
3. The files themselves need a better menu, with the amount I’ve made I have to keep scrolling down and back up to find something, I end up saving what I need again just so it’s at the top.
4. Please have a color select, I don’t mean eye dropper obviously, I mean selecting only areas of the sprite with a specific color (I feel like I’m wording this badly,sry), it’d make recoloring so much less of a hassle.

Worth the price
This app is definitely worth its price, there’s no ads to distract you, the size multiplier is very useful, the animation is a cool feature that’s easy to use, and it has a way of creating custom colors. There aren’t any bugs, and it’s a great app to use for sprite creation. The only thing I suggest is making a tool that flips your sprite in opposite directions, for example, I was making a sprite turn all the way around, and I made it face the left but, I had to make the one facing right from scratch since there wasn’t any flip tool. But besides that, I love this app 👍🙂

Good app but a couple issues
I downloaded this app because I wanted a program for pixel art that I could also animate with. Overall I really like this app and it’s what I wanted and I think worth the price, however there are a couple things that could be improved. One of the best things about this app is it allows you to have a reference image open while working, which I haven’t seen done as well as this app does. I love that I can save and load projects directly in the app, but when exporting it does not allow me to directly save to my photos. I found ways around it so it’s not that big of a deal just a little annoying. The other thing I have a large problem with is the way the onion skin works. It’s confusing and doesn’t do what an onion skin should do, which is show the layers/animation frames beneath it usually at a lower opacity.

when i draw something in the app it looks great and easy to use. but exporting it looks weird and asks you to save at a larger size x1 x2 x3 but the size needs to stay the 32x32 and there is no indication in pixels how big the export will be . its important that it export exact. If I export at x1 it comes out a blurry mess unless sqved to email and its not real friendly saved in camera roll.
It could use some exporting instruction or something.
I am trying out other export options and noticed some improvement using email, but the other issue remains the background is white even though i set it to clear.

Definitely worth trying
This app is really great for making and animating sprites. For what you’re getting is really great compared to other pixel art related apps on mobile, but I don’t find it that worth the price. It provides the basics and a helpful guide on how to use it, but for 4.99 is a bit on the pricey side for me. Some features that, perhaps, could make it worth it would be a lightening and darkening tool, better onion-skinning, resizing, and the ability to change the background. Otherwise, it’s really helpful.

Almost perfect
Love the app. Very easy to use, lots of options, animation is great, imports are easy to work with. It has a few minor issues though. Scrolling to another section is difficult most of the time it decides to just paint that area or select it. I would love if there was like another icon say a cursor or hand that you can select to make navigation easier. Also a redo button to go with the undo and a cut option along side the copy and paste. Final note is I’m working on a massive sprite sheet and the lines of selection box on that is like 3 pixels so it makes working on those sheets difficult. Overall great app.

Great app & a few thoughts
This is a simple to use app that is a great value. A few feature additions could help.
1. I’d like to be able to save color palettes and use the across projects. If that’s in the app, it’s unclear how to do it. I see “retro 1” but no ability to change palettes?
2. I’d like to see a true-size preview view. If I’m editing a 64x64 image, I would like to be able to tap a button to preview it at that size or be able to zoom out on the image until it is displayed true size. As it stands, zoom out is locked at a level where The whole 64x64 image is zoomed it to fill the entire edit area.

Superb app
I love this app. It’s intuitive, it’s easy to use, and can be saved in many types of files and places. If there were any issues, the developer will contact back on the matter. Cannot recommend this app enough.
I would also like to suggest some ideas:
swatch replacement feature: Maybe add a tool that will replace an existing color with your edited one so you don’t have to replace every single space of color for that sprite.
Adding folders to put layers in with names. Maybe add a mini nav bar to see the layers.
Transparency consistency when merging layers, maybe having an option of mixing the transparency with the swatches under it when merging.
Color converter: ability to turn color swatches extremely similar to your desired swatch to convert into that color. Maybe add a threshold on the HSB/RGB pixel differences.
This app is worth more than every penny.

Highly recommend!
This app has really satiated my cravings for pixel art on my iPad. It's very easy to use and it has an amazing feature where you can automatically size it up when you save it so that it isn't blurry when posting it online or anything without distorting the pixels or making them look odd. You have access to any color on the spectrum as well which is a huge positive in my book!
