FEATURES:
--------------------------------------
FULL USE OF SCREEN REAL ESTATE: no need to switch between designations / details / library switching and sorting pages as in the iphone. All information and features are immediately accessible from the main screen.

LIBRARIES:
--------------------------------------
Includes all libraries from [steel], [steel] Canada and [steel] uk. Decades' worth of steel data at your fingertips.

AISC:
- Latest AISC v14.1 & v14.1-SI
- Versions AISC 14 & 14-SI, 13.2 & 13.2 SI, 13.1.1 & 13.1.1 SI, 13
- LRFD 1st through 3rd Ed.
- ASD 5th through 9th Ed.
- HISTORIC

CISC:
Version 9.2

UK:
Most common sections according to BS EN 1993-1-1:2005 / BS 4-1:2005

UNIT SYSTEM SWITCHING:
--------------------------------------
Properties can be displayed in either their original units (English for AISC libraries, Metric for Canadian and UK) or converted to the opposite system with the click of a button. Even fractional values from AISC (the detailing properties) are converted to metric values (in numeric form)

SORTING:
--------------------------------------
[steel hd] allows sorting of the sections within a library given a specific property. Note that trying if the sort criteria does not apply to a specific library (i.e.: plastic modulus for ASD) or is not available for a specific section type (i.e.: IY for 2L sections in AISC libraries), that library / type will be sorted by the Default order, all other sections type for which the sorting criteria applies will be arranged properly (the actual sort value is alway displayed below the designation)

QUICK SEARCH:
--------------------------------------
[steel hd] lets you find a section with a quick search function, where, for example, "W16 x 89", "W16x89" or simply "W1689" will locate the same section or its closest approximation.

RRRobSol,
The very best App for any who works with Steel!
I have been using the IPhone version since it was released last year, and find it extremely useful.
If you are a Structural Engineer, Architect, Steel Detailer or someone who sells steel you need this information on a daily basis. I also find that the historical data is particularly useful when trying to match up old beams with new.
David, keep up the good work.
iSJM,
Must have
If you are a structural engineer and carry your iPad to meetings, this is must have application. I have iPhone version also. This was the first application I installed when I got iPad. I am very happy with it. I often rich for this even when I am in the office in front of PC since it is much quicker to access and find information.

Rudyram7839,
Great app
This app saves me a lot of time. The ability to sort the sections based on which properties u need helps you to choose the most economical section that meet the requirements. Thumbs up for that especially!!!!
RduPlaine,
AMAZING APP
I might as well throw out my steel manuals because this app has all the section properties in an EASY to use layout.
I have it on my iPhone and my iPad ...
Easier on your eyes on the iPad and incredibly portable
On the phone.
OldFat Guy,
Great App
Most drawings don't have weights for tube steel on them. This information alone is well worth the $5. A must have for every structural Ironworker foreman.
NoNameBwub,
Steel reference
Provides the AISC shapes library information in a portable and accessible format.
KPLCviewer,
Works
Great app. Frequent updates.
