Description
The Stepping Stones Puzzle
The Stepping Stones Puzzle is a simple, yet surprisingly deep and enjoyable game of numbers and topology for a single player.
The objective is simple: Place a given series of ordered, red stones onto an infinite chessboard.
There are only two rules:
1. Each new stone must be equal in value to the sum of its neighbors.
2. Once placed, a stone must not be moved.
Each game starts with some blue stepping stones on the board. The are worth 1 point each and they cannot be moved.
You are given a set of 15 or more red stones with ordered values of 2, 3, 4, ….
Just tap on the board to place the next stone and collect 1 point.
If you manage to place all your red stones, you win the game.
Often, there are more than one matching places for your next stone.
Beware of snookering yourself by obstructing your own path forward or by following a dead end.
Enjoy 24 levels of increasing complexity.
After a while you will discover and apply repeating patterns, which will make solving Stepping Stone Puzzles a breeze.
