Description

This app makes it very easy to log your bowel movements. You can classify your stool with help of the bristol stool scale and it will calculate a lot of interesting statistics for you.

There are two modes: in the simple mode you can log start time (will be set automatically on start), end time (will be set automatically as well), and the stool type according to the bristol stool scale. In the detailed mode you can log additional color, consisteny, weight/volume and your feeling.

You can add some notes to the current session in both modes.

Your data belongs to you! You are able to export your data at any time and use it as a CSV file (a plain text file). Your data is not collected or transmitted!

If you are not using the automatic end time, the automatic end time is now set to your average bowel movement time.

Fixes a problem that could cause switches to show a different state after scrolling.

Fixes a problem that could cause a day in the bar char to show zero even though there was a bowel movement.
1.3
2017-02-20
Added a graph that visualizes you bowel movements per day.

Added percentage break down of stool types so that you can easily see what is normal for you.

Added a pie chart that visualizes the percentage break down.

Added sticky as consistency type and bright yellow (bile acid malabsorption) as color type.

Added an option in settings to delete all your data.

We have learned that some users are hiding the app from the first page because of the name. In this update we changed the app name below the app icon from "Stool Log" "to "Log".

Fixed the "different subject title" problem in english support mails.

"Failed attempt" does no longer count as a last stool type in statistics.

Revised journal descriptions. If you set additional properties in the detailed mode, they will change the descriptions. This will prevent descriptions like "good stool" (based on the bristol stool chart) even though you told the app it was painful to pass.

If you like the update, please consider rating the update in the App Store.

Eunique,
Perfect for anyone with GI issues
This a great little app for quantifying GI issues. It is simple to use and the data collected makes it easy to provide accurate answers to your GI doc. It is easy to add notes, such as food you’ve eaten, new medications, etc. A great feature is that the notes are visible in the list view. I did upgrade, and I do recommend this to anyone who has any type of GI issue, or is trying to figure out what may be causing issues.

One feature I would like to see is the ability to select a date range for the reports. Also, I think the averages are calculated on the total number of days elapsed since the first entry, not the total number of entries.

Great app! I’ve been recording my bowel movements for a week now and I love that I can make my own notes and it’s super simple to use! Highly recommend it if you’re about keeping close track of all the aspects to your wellness!
craftyjulz,
Good app but needs a little more info to track
After trying the lite version I upgraded even though it’s not perfect. However, the general ideas of the app are great for me to take to my Dr.
The most important thing the app needs is a way to track the amount of stool. I use a scale of 1/10 with 5 being the average amount listed in my notes. Also, there needs to be some way to check off if a group of BM’s, several in a row, is just one long session of a diarrhea BM, all within so many hours, like 12 or 24hrs. Also, the choice for “weight” doesn’t make sense to me & needs to be defined better.
Imlosingit,
Wonderful app
I’ve used this app for years. It’s very user friendly and I can see patterns develop. I can jot down my food intake and medications. Very much recommend this app.
Pulga2bfree,
Excellent app and support.
The app is great. It helps me keep track of my own health and share information with my doctor. They reply quickly to my emails when I write with a question and consider my suggestions. They also write when there's an update that addresses a suggestion I made. I appreciate good customer service.
The only thing I'd add to the app is a reminder of when it has been a day or two without an entry but they've told me they're working on it.

Useful app
For those who need to keep records of this, it’s convenient and easy to use. The only issue I have with this app is that I enter in data and it’s missing the next time I open the app. I just assume it’s operator error.
Jezzys.mum,
Why only "-ish"?
I would have given the app 5 stars but don't understand why a Type7 in the app describes a stool that is all liquid and then when you use that the app stores the entry as being "diarrhea-ish". It should sat "diarrhea".

Stool Tracker
This app is one of the better apps. To make this app better, I would suggest the developer add bright red as a color and change the symbol for dark red (blood) to a warning symbol.

Helpful app
Very helpful app and worth the small cost. It could use some tweaking, like adding pain levels and maybe some custom fields. I use the app to manage severe hemorrhoids and it would be great to customize it for my needs more.
kaywren,
An excellent app for monitoring bowel movements!
I'm really enjoying this app. It's simple and quick and has most of the features I was looking for. I'd been keeping a log of health habits on a clipboard and have been trying to find apps to replace it. I consider our BMs to be a great indicator of the condition of our gut flora and how well things are moving along, so to say... I was looking for an app to keep up with each BMs Bristol rating, color, amount, time of day and which days. I'm a visual person and also wanted a graph... while the graph needs work, this app does virtually all of what I need... wish someone would create an app that graphed sleep, food macros, weight, activity, sleep, and amount of sunlight so that one could overlay the graphs and see the full picture... and perhaps even causality!
