Usability Improvements:
- Maximum card size (when zooming into cards) can be managed in settings
- When a hero story defeat condition has been met, the game will end immediately instead of not showing the defeat until after the stage end game conditions are met (details in Story Cards section below)
- Upgraded versions of cards are now available in Sandbox Mode (Note: this mode is an early access feature that is unlocked via completing challenges in Training Mode)
Fixes:
- Pause-Resume feature has been fixed to not present the player with an option to repeat the action being performed
- When viewing the icon key in the main menu, clicking the menu option in the top corner will now close the icon key
Fighter Cards:
- Ah Long, Judgement and Divine Focus: these are unique Tactic cards, so you can no longer have multiple copies in play by assigning them as Banes to enemies
- Natalia, Commando (upgraded): discarding a Stealth card wasn’t converting General damage to Direct damage
- Shadow, Illusion: will now no longer prompt player to choose defense to gain for guard dice results, since illusions can’t gain defense the results were being ignored anyway
- Shadow, Spirit Step: fixed to cause Kick damage not Punch damage
Story Cards:
- An Empty Shell, Part 1: game will end immediately, if Leeta is defeated
- Comeback, Part 3A and 3B: game will end immediately, if Isabella is defeated
- Kidding Around, Part 3A and 3B: game will end immediately, if Zane is defeated
- Little Sister, Part 2A and 2B: game will end immediately, if Viktor gets away
- Unspoken, Part 1: game will end immediately, if Drago is defeated

Patch to fix an issue introduced in 1.7 (Sep 30), where all fighters were locked on new installs.
Additional fixes include:
- Shadow, Illusion: will now be defeated when damaged
- Shadow, One with the Dark: when swapping with an illusion, this was damaging enemies where Shadow was before the swap not after

Usability Improvements
- Players can now flip Stage Rules cards over to view the Stage Setup side
- Discarded cards are clearly labeled so they are easier to identify
- A new step has been added to the start of Story and Arcade Mode games to show the decks in play
- When randomly choosing an enemy or stage for any Hero Story part 1, the app will choose from complexity 1-3 (and one that you haven’t achieved yet, if possible)

Fighter Cards
- Ah Long, Directed Hatred, Bane: upgraded version was failing to resolve when you choose to discard this card
- Ah Long, Judgement, Bane: upgraded version will now deal Direct damage instead of General damage
- Jackal, Possessed: several effects that would defeat a possessed enemy were failing to resolve
- Juan, Scattershot: moving enemies away will now present the player with the choice of target spaces
- Megan, Flying Knee: placing Megan will not trigger effects based on movement (ie- The Cartel, On Alert)
- Natalia, Commando: attack bonus will remain in effect until after feint is complete, and added the missing red die image in the rules text for the upgraded version
Enemy Cards
- The Golden Dragons, Black Typhoon Kick: fixed the divider text to read “Heavenly Dragon”
- The Golden Dragons, Phasing Hook Punch: fixed the divider text to read “Heavenly Dragon”
- The Kingdom, Breaking the Mold: this card effect was being resolved, even after it was removed (ie- Natalia’s Disarm)
- The Kingdom, Fan of Blades: was being discarded when Shadow was dealt any wounds, but it is now only discarded when he is wounded by direct damage
Stage Cards
- Steel Memories, Fresh Recruits: The Fresh Recruit card in the stage area was showing the correct supply value, but clicking on a Fresh Recruit token on the board was showing an incorrect supply value
Story Cards
- Family Business, Part 2A: Tiger Azules has been changed from an ally to a rival

Usability Improvements
- Simplified some of the Stage and Story iconography and added progress bars to help convey victory & defeat conditions
- After choosing Quick Start, players can view any decks used in the game (this is also available in the menu at any time for all game modes)
- When choosing to upgrade a card after a Hero Story game, players now have the option to view the original version of each card for comparison
- After the mulligan step, drawing the replacement cards will be shown to the player (instead of just appearing in the fighter’s hand after setup)
- Highlight tokens when their card is zoomed or effects are being resolved related to them (like highlighting each Fresh Recruit as they move and attack)
- When choosing an Ally, the “Rivals” button caption has been changed to “Continue”, in order to avoid confusion about how to proceed
- Minor improvements to a few visual effects (Prescience, Stray Grenade, etc)
- Slowed the card glow effect
- Minor visual and audio feedback when interacting with the board
Bug Fixes
- The CHARGED text should no longer appear after the game over screen is displayed
- 2 objectives on same space should now show both correctly
- Pressing UNDO LAST MOVE, while dice are rolling, will now end the rolling sound effect
Fighter Cards
- Ah Long, Neutralizing Choke: this was able to be played from the Divine Focus Bane after already having been played that turn to trigger the Divine Focus Bane
- Brandon, Chameleon Stance: added missing dice icon to the rule text
- Megan, Projected Chi, Interact: was inconsistently adding defense to Megan
- Natalia: 2 extra movement will only be added the first time Natalia is charged on the same turn
- Natalia, Rush B: can now select Natalia’s own space for movement
- Ying Hua, Phoenix Tail: can now move into an adjacent space of where the target was if it was defeated by the attack
Enemy Cards
- The Kingdom, Breaking the Mold: cards attached to a Marionette Doll removed from the game will be discarded instead of also being removed
Ally Cards
- Isabella, Exhaust: can now select Isabella’s own space for movement
Story Cards
- Family Business, Part 2B: was not able to add crate tokens to the story card instead of drawing a loot card
- Head of the Dragon, Part 3B: was allowing the story card to be activated out of order
