Hands Down my favorite Audio Bible!
I believe it reads in the NLT. They have different instrumentals in the back of the reading, and sometimes they even change voices (eg. Using a female voice actor for women’s talk) I love it cause you get the drama without losing the flesh of scripture. The quality of the music is great and the narrators and excellent. They have all the NT and some parts of the OT but not all, but they upload whenever they record a new book! Ik you can listen to music/ instrumentals in the back when you read the Bible but this is different because it’s literally matched to what you’re reading, I LOVE IT. It helps me focus when I’m having a hard time reading.
Also, the new update supports offline downloads. I only wish there was a feature where I can Get a whole book offline rather than chapter by chapter. I really love the fact that this project exists!

Good listening
I really do enjoy SL, I think it’s something long over due. As someone with a very busy schedule when I can’t sit down to read my bible listening to SL really helps keep me engaged while listing. I like the addition of new books I look forward to the complete bible being available.
The only things that I find to be unpleasant is each time it updates, I have to create a new account each time, and the “favorites” I’ve marked are gone. This new update also doesn’t seem to offer a “favs” which is a bit disappointing. Having to create an account that doesn’t seem to even have a purpose is not necessary, having to enter a first and last name, age and email every time there’s an update gets tiresome. Having to recreate a playlist also. For myself, I listen while at work and certain tracks I found to help me best while in the workplace. Having to redo that every update makes me want to find something else to listen to rather than redo the list every single time. Like other apps, I wish updates didn’t erase everything, just add new content or futures without wiping everything out.
Over all, it’s a good app and a fun way to help engage the listener, I hope this feed back helps with future updates. Some people may not care about the little things some do, but over all I’m glad SL is even here. For the reasons listed I give 4 out of 5 stars.

Hands Down I praise God for this APP!! This definitely was life changing for me. Brought the word to life for me it was like a light 💡 came on and God’s word hit my Heart so deep!! I found myself weeping in my car. I kept praying to have knowledge, wisdom and understanding of His word. This was so plain and clear to me I have gone over the New Testament like 10 times and each and every time it hits me hard and draws me closer and closer to my Lord! Now I can’t go without a day listening to my word. The Holy Spirit has really moved Im my life that has completely turn my world upside down in a good way.
Now I truly know I must be about my Father’s business! Seek the Kingdom of Heaven 1st above all things . He will take care of us.

Best Bible Audio, But Hope for More Translations
This is the only Bible audio I know so far that doesn’t have one monotonous voice that reads the whole passage. It features different voices for characters, tones of voices fitting for context, and light music in the background. I only wish that Streetlights will include different translations, like the ESV, CSB, and NKJV soon. However, it takes much effort and work to do this, so it may be a future project that requires support, time, and painstaking (but worthwhile) effort. In addition, I preferred a previous version of the app that allowed each chapter to play even when my phone closes and doesn’t immediately refresh to the next chapter but allows one to pause at the exact place (like an audio bookmark).

I’ve tried lots of audio bibles, from the droning monotones to Darth Vader to the expensive dramatized one. None of them kept my mind from wandering (monotone = sleepy; Darth = creepy; dramatized version is like listening to a movie with no picture: kind of annoying because you feel like you’re missing out somehow).
I was skeptical of Streetlights at first, but by the third chapter of Matthew I couldn’t put it down (you know what I mean).
Gripping, earnest, honest, amazing! I really don’t know why, but this version brings back (and exceeds) that “Wow, it’s like I’ve never read it before” feeling just before accepting Jesus. Halfway through John now and I don’t remember Jesus so “in your face.” Brand new all over again.
Now, I *do* have some comments re: the app - same as others. Chapter-by-chapter autoplay please! And “remember where I left off” please! Download for offline would be nice. And if you’re really stretching it, maybe the text, too—to read along. That last one is just a “nice to have,” though—and unneeded if Streetlights could autoplay in the background!
Sent some $ to the ministry and I’m proselytizing like crazy; Thanks!

Love this app! (Some tech issue please fix)
I’ve been using this app for about a year now since I fully surrendered to Jesus and it’s wonderful to get the word like this! It’s easy to listen to and absorb, God bless y’all!
Ever since the last update, there has been one or two major issues. if the phone is locked, it will not play the next track/chapter unless you open the app directly. (Ex. If the phone is locked, you must unlock it, go to the app, and then it will play the next track)
It also will not pause at all or go to the next chapter unless you go directly to the app itself (ex. it will not pause by pressing pause on headphones)
The app is wonderful and seriously such a gift! The fact that it is free is incredible and such a blessing, honestly I feel like I can’t even complain since it’s free! However, these issues do seriously affect the apps quality, these problems were nonexistent prior to the update, please fix!

Our LifeGroup uses a combination of the apps Holy Bible and Through the Word and both are phenomenal. Streetlights was available in the additional resources section of the book of 1st Corinthians in Holy Bible app. I LOVE the scripture readings with the urban feel audio with music in the background. I found that though I was listening to the same Bible version, I was able to comprehend it much better with Streetlights audio. Thank you so much for taking the time and initiative to make this app. I’m 49 years old and love it 😊. My adult stepchildren are not yet saved, but I KNOW Streetlights will make The Bible feel accessible to them when they open their hearts to the reality of Jesus’ love. God bless you all!

Exactly what I needed!
I woke up this morning and thought, “how cool would it be to listen to scripture over some hip-hop tracks while I work out!” Thanks to the internet it didn’t take long to find this app. IT’S PERFECT! The music and reading are both top notch. This is going to redeem my workout and help me get even more scripture into my daily routine!
There are a lot of great audio Bibles out there but most of them are calming. They have their place, but what I love about this is that it gets me pumped up! It sounds likes they read the NLT. The only thing that could make this better is if they added options like the ESV. Even still this is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ app. Thank you so much for making this!

Love this app but it needs one very important update
I love this! It’s so easy to be continually submersed in the word as I go about my day. Here is my one piece of feedback. Please, please, please make it to where the next chapter automatically starts after one ends. Also it would be really nice to be able to control the audio Bible from outside of the app when my phone screen is locked. These two updates would make this so much easier to use. It can be difficult when driving and listening because I have to find a good time to unlock my phone and start the next chapter.

Excellent!
I’m so glad to have stumbled upon this app, many other bible reading apps I’ve used read the Word with such monotone voices and literally no excitement at all, which is what really makes this app stand out. Each chapter is read with the boldness and authority given through God’s Word and is highlighted with great background music. I love this app also because it helps me to not get distracted as easily as I would reading on my own, but it keeps me engaged and excited about the bible (as I should always be but sinful nature gets in the way). All in all it is a wonderful app and I so appreciate how it’s helped me to be in the Word consistently!
