I subscribed to this app this year because the trial worked well last year. Needed an APP that alerted to Aesop and ReadySub, two solutions in my area. This one worked well.
While they did Alert as needed I cannot accept ReadySub alerts using SubSidekick. Have to accept using ReadySub app directly after receiving error message. Minor inconvenience but jobs around here last two seconds with these alerts (literally 2 seconds).
Recommend this app but is quirky. That’s why # of stars.

Grabbing instantly from Aesop is GREAT. Posts do not last long for jobs I want to pick up.

Keeps disabling texts
I initially went through all settings to set up notifications for how I wanted to get them. I chose to get text messages. I shortly thereafter got an email stating text messages would be disabled since I could get notifications via the app. If I wanted to turn text messages back on follow xyz. I turned texts back on. Day 2, I got the same email saying texts would be disabled but I could turn them back on. I emailed tech support saying and got a response that it would take 3-5 days to get a response. I followed the instructions to turn text back on. An hour later I got another email stating they turned off text and I choose turn it back on. How ridiculous! If they don’t want text to be an option, don’t give it as one. I’ll be deleting the app since it won’t continue texting me unless I repetitively turn it on. Texting is all I wanted.

Completely useless
I gave it a two star ONLY because I'm not sure if maybe I did something wrong when registering and/or setting up notifications but in the 2 weeks since I set it up I've gotten zero notifications of ANY kind (via the app, email, text, anything) yet the SubstituteAlert app has me receiving up to about 30 notifications a day on my phone (via the app) AND my computer (via website notifications)-- and that was before I even subscribed to the paid service! I will GLADLY pay the $5 monthly fee for the other app if it means I actually get some use out of it while this one just sits here wasting space on my phone. Good riddance SubSidekick. You've certainly proved yourself less than worth my time!

Seems fine
I use Jobulator, but was curious if I was missing jobs. So I signed up for this app to compare. This app seems to alert me sooner than Jobulator but I don’t like the sound options. I also like that it will email me that the job is or was posted. Then I can tell if I happened to miss something.

Worked well up until a few days ago
Was being notified of openings fast but near the end of the trial period the notifications were automatically being accepted without me even seeing the positions. Found out I was scheduled for a job by the school calling me and I had no idea I was supposed to be there. That job was accepted at 1:00AM and I was not even awake. Now I look like I left the school out of a position because I couldn’t work the scheduled hours.
Not sure exactly what happened with the app, but immediately cancelled the service and deleted the app!

This app has gained some traction! Without it, I would be missing out on a lot of jobs!
It was a little tricky to make sure you've signed up correctly, maybe a confirmation or verification would be nice?
Over all, if you're looking to sub full time, I recommend!

Awesome!!
Love it! So worth the monthly/yearly rate. I’ve been using this app for about 3 years, and it’s been very reliable. I can sub everyday because alerts are always coming in. Very happy with Sub Sidekick!

Frustrating
For some reason it would change my notifications from text messages to mobile apps and I could not find any rhyme and reason for doing so. I finally just gave up and canceled the subscription. Worked fine last year but this year it’s nothing but frustrating

Not satisfied
I would not recommend this app. I was relying on it to notify me of all jobs and realized it really only sends alerts for a small portion. When I reached out to customer service I was sent a list of reasons why not all jobs popped up. I was denied a refund because the reasons the app failed are listed in their terms of use. It is not worth the price, there are cheaper apps that are much more reliable.

The best choice.
This is the best notification system. I have used to others and not been as satisfied.
