One of best Sudoku apps
I’m updating my review. Still an awesome sudoku app, and I’ve played almost all the apps out there. Some of the new features keep me hooked. For example, the events is great. Sometimes my brain gets tired of always playing expert or nightmare levels so it’s nice to play some easy levels. Plus, it has a clear goal for me to work towards.
And also, cross math is an interesting concept. It’s great for my son to practice his math, and I never would’ve found out without playing this app.
(Previous review) I’ve been playing Sudoku for a long time, and this is one of the best mobile apps for Sudoku. A few things, it has a very clean and easy to use interface. When I click a number, it highlights the corresponding row, column and square, so I can easily scan the board to find other potential numbers.
Also, when I write notes and tap a number, all notes with that number are also a different color, so it’s easy to see which cells have that number, and I can start doing deductions more easily.
Finally, it has a hint feature that explains how a cell came to a number, which is better than other apps I’ve seen that just directly tell you the answer. Overall, there are many advanced features for the seasoned Sudoku player, but also great for newer players. Would highly recommend this app.

Bleh, ugh, whatever,
Here for Cross Math
As someone who loves math (to a point of majoring in it in college), I love the cross math portion of this app. People who keep saying the cross math puzzles don't add up, double-check your solutions. So far I've done 94 puzzles and never had any issues about the math not adding up. Only reason I'm not giving this a full five stars is that it tends to be slow on my phone and a lot of times I have to restart the app or pause and resume intermittently just because it keeps lagging when I try to solve the puzzles but the timer is working just fine (my competitive self doesn't like that lol).

8/28 EDIT: Since the most recent update, my cross math time records for all levels except for levels 1-4 got wiped out. I'm talking about 102 frigging levels here. Cross math also became ridiculously easy as well. Oh and level 127 DOES have a math error and is keeping me from moving on to the next level. So this is where I stop playing, I guess. Not to mention the fact that the app still lags when played for more than a few minutes (either in cross math mode or sudoku mode)... This update just made it worse and is such a disappointment.

Best Sudoku Experience
I tried a handful of sudoku apps and found this one to have the best combination of supporting speedy play, clearly highlighting relevant numbers without giving away solutions, and providing clear hints to help players improve.
Devs I do have one request – the fact that Nightmare difficult puzzles sometimes require hints that simply fill in the correct value for a call makes it hard for me to feel like I can work on those puzzles logically since I can’t think through how those are calculated, so if there’s some way to show the underlying logic there it would be much appreciated. Thank you for adding the difficulty setting though!

Too Many Ads
This app is unbearable to navigate. There are so many ads. You get an ad before starting and after finishing every game. And the one you get after finishing a game occurs before the “Congrats” screen which just ruins the dopamine rush of successfully completing a game. It’s basically a punishment for playing. Additionally, sometimes if you take too long, an ad occurs mid-game and your app starts glitching out forcing you to close and reopen the app to which you are greeted with yet another ad. You also have to watch an ad for almost every feature as well (ie. Hint, Advanced Notes, extra lives), which I actually don’t find too bad — paying for convenience of certain features is understandable… Except that it’s the same 2-3 ads every time. (And it’s always those ones for other crappy games that you know are falsely advertised.) I recommend avoiding this app.

Great game, but wipes out your purchase history
I really enjoy this game. I paid to remove the ads several months ago and it made it so whenever I was in a bind, I could use unlimited hints and never have to see an ad. The problem is that my purchase history is now gone and it wants me to pay to remove ads again, which is wrong. When I click on restore purchases, it does nothing. So if it won’t restore my purchases, I’m not going to pay $7.99 again to do what I already paid it to do, and I’ll remove the game. If it weren’t for this issue, I’d give it 5 stars.

Excellent- except!
Great game but I have not been able to play on that iPad since the screen went black during one of the miserable adds and will not return regardless of what I have tried. I can play on another device on which for some reason there are no adds but I would like to be able continue with the smaller iPad. It is not the device as everything else works well. What can I do to get the game back and get rid of the obnoxious adds as on my other devices.?

Great app, minor bugs
This game is great! It keeps my mind sharp and I even got my parents playing it to keep theirs sharp as well, my only frustration is 1) the 3 and done rule is kind of small especially when you have older people with big fingers cause mistakes happen. I feel like it should be maybe 4 or 5 mistakes before you have to restart or watch an ad, which brings me to frustration 2) multiple times while playing I’ll use the free ad to continue if I make too many “mistakes” and yet I still get restarted with all my progress gone, other than that great app, just wish the bugs were fixed :)

Best app! But lots of crashes..
I just downloaded this app three days ago, and I normally never leave reviews. I love this version of sudoku, and especially that you can adjust the settings the way you want. Plus- the ads aren’t overwhelming, like most games.
However, I’m experiencing app crashes, but instead of just the app closing, my whole phone will freeze for about a minute or two and then shut off. So it’s been frustrating as I play, because after a couples minutes or so I can’t play. I’m sure it’s just a bug, that can be fixed and updated. But just to let the developers know!
However, I’m experiencing app crashes, but instead of just the app closing, my whole phone will freeze for about a minute or two and then shut off. So it’s been frustrating as I play, because after a couples minutes or so I can’t play. I’m sure it’s just a bug, that can be fixed and updated. But just to let the developers know!

Insane Lag
This game has to be mining bitcoin in the background or something. Have it open for more than 3 or 4 minutes and your phone will slow to a crawl until you fully close the app, pretty bonkers stuff. Granted, I’m on an iPhone 8 so might not be as big of a problem on newer phones. To clarify, I mean like 3 seconds of latency between pressing a button in the game and the input actually registering. After double tapping home button to close the app, I had a roughly 10 second wait of frozen phone until I was able to swipe up and fully close it, after which my phone was perfectly fine again. It’s not like my phone is in horrible condition and has lag problems elsewhere, this app is the sole occurrence for this issue. 0/10 do not recommend.
