It’s holiday and you have nothing to do. Would you stay at home and watch TV all day? Lazing around doing nothing with snacks and TV programmes to entertain you. Or perhaps, you will take out your favorite ride and pick up your significant other. Time for a road trip!
Sunset Road is a game about road trip. You want to drop off as many places as possible, keep them in dearest memory. Drive through memory lane and visit places important to you and your significant other. Navigate through dialogues, read the mood, through smiles and frowns, through happiness and sadness. For the places you visited will always be there, waiting for you to return.
It features a trip taken by a couple of youth to the sea. Several choices are laid out to the players, in which they have to navigate in order to visit stunning vistas before finally arriving at the beach. Some may go through all the vistas in one go, some may need several playthrough. Whether the trip focuses on its destination or the journey is up to the players completely. You can go straight to the sea or see the sight along the road. Of course, that can only happen when your significant other agrees to it! So be nice and read the mood.
Not only it features dialogue choices, the game is laid out in beautiful hand-drawn illustrations. There are a number of vista points available during the course of the game. Collect them all and see what happens. On this one day journey, can you reach the sea before the sun sets?
Play it offline, as many times and as long as you want.

Two. We've built checkpoints along the road so you can continue where you left off.
Three. New cars are obtainable at the end of the road so you can pick your favorite for next trip.
Four. In case of emergency, or simply just a change of heart, you have the option to go home.

Thought it’s another boring game. I was wrong.
When I played the game for the first time, I had the feeling that the game has too many dialogs and looks boring until I realise that every choice you take may lead you to different destinations and then I started to want to understand the character’s relationship deeper, and it is beautifully written. The illustrations has unique taste, not a mainstream mobile style you expect. The music also adds atmosphere, calm and soothing. At the end of the day, I played it over and over to try to unlock all possible destinations and see different conversations.
It took me around 10 minutes for a single ride, and since there is no save point you may want to play the game when you have literally quite a long time like while commuting or can’t get to sleep.
My only request is probably the options to fast forward through read dialogs to save time so I can try different route faster.

Sad, but beautiful
At first, I thought this game was just something plain, that barely had any meaning. Boy was I wrong. After two or three play throughs, I got the ending and it all sort of clicked. It really was like a memory road. I grew really attached to the characters, not even knowing their name! It was quick, but made a huge impression. The ending was sad, but at the same time so beautiful. I remember the guy repeatedly saying how he wanted time to stop, and then I realized why. I can also relate to this story. Sorry to rant, but in short, I loved this game.
