Exactly what is says it is
Everyone tries to hype their own games, why wouldn’t they? This is the most honest and accurate descriptions I’ve seen. The game is a true throwback to the NES days and done well. I do want the ability to retry levels, however, but as this would effect gameplay I can see the purists saying no...fine...it’s a draw.
The only issue I have is that I’m right handed and the enemies generally come from the right. So I can either try it out on “expert mode” (using my left hand), or not always being able to see the enemies. I could get the controller that it supports, but I’m not going to. And I can’t imagine how he could fix it seeing as it’s a biological error in my part being right handed.
This definitely left handed creator made a real gem here, buy it, share it, play it

Illusive Gaming Perfection
This is the The House of the Devil for shmups. I’m not even into shmups (or horror) but both of these attempts at not only just throwing it back to the 80’s but literally perfecting the experience is so rare and truly unique that I felt like that’s the only real logical comparison for me that comes to mind. Both of them have this dichotomy where they perfectly evoke and nail the era yet are super subtle about it due to the insane passion, attention to detail and humility that they are crafted with.

Great side scroll shoot em up
Reminds me of my favorite space shoot em ups from different computer platforms over the years. Love that for a small price there are no advertisements and no in game purchases. Game play is excellent, smooth response even when screen is filled with action. Normal and easy modes are both appreciated, it’s great to have the difficulty scalable for different levels of skill among my family members.

Retro heaven
This game is a perfect throwback to old school shoot em ups, with new twists, great levels, and great detailed retro artwork. This reminds me a lot of Dandara in terms of it being a high quality take on retro games. There’s an Easy mode and normal mode (which is really really challenging). I haven’t finished yet but I know I’m gonna want more levels by the end. Hopefully they make some more additions. Overall, highly recommend.

One of the best iOS games ever
Without a doubt this is one of the best games ever made for iOS. Instantly brings me back to my childhood. But it’s not just a copycat of my favorite Konami games. It is made with love and care, both on a technical and artistic level. The game is fun and challenging but never frustrating. Kudos to the team that developed this beautiful game. Looking forward to the sequel.

Great game, awful controls
There’s no place to place my figure that would not obscure something important on the screen. That, combined with the unforgivable 8-bit difficulty makes for an unpleasant experience. There is a reason why game companies got away with super hard games in the late 80s: there were few alternatives and they wanted the content to last. Nowadays, it’s not that the gamer is a wimp, there’s just myriad games to play and other virtual stuff to do. So, at a certain point the game is just not worth it. I want my money back.

Excellent Retro R-Type-like Shooter!
Initially had issues due to a bad download. Once I started playing, I have been thoroughly enraptured—excellent game!
If you like side-scrolling shooters—similar to Defender and R-Type—then this is the game for you! Works great on my ATV4 and with my PS4 controller. And best of all, no subscription, no ads and no in-app purchases!

Best game I have ever played
I own this game in three games platforms it’s just that great. The soundtrack is amazing and the fine details that were put into this game put it over the top. I wish I could review it higher than 5 stars.

Something Special
I don’t buy a lot of games for my phone, but this is something special. Growing up it was my dream to beat Abadox on the NES. I never actually achieved that goal, but now I have a new one. Thank you for this gift. Your passion truly shines through. :)
