Energy drain weapons are OP

Supermechs is a strategic, overall great game where you battle with a mech which you can upgrade with different weapons and variants. However, many important gold boxes after defeating bosses in campaign require arena games. The issue here is that nearly all of the players in arena have a heat combo or energy wipe robot, or even a mix of both. Losing energy basically means you lose the game because it is nearly impossible to restore once you lost it and makes you have to rely on either kinetic or on stomping the enemy. With heat you can at least spend a turn to heatsink and cool off but you are defenseless when faced by energy. Please fix the energy mechanic and I will be far happier about this game.

PLEASE CONSIDER

I’ve been playing this game for the longest and fell in love with it, but whenever the new updates came there were lots of problems which you can hear in other comments. Please consider fixing these and BRING BACK THE CLASSIC. I love this game don’t get me wrong, but I really liked the old SM better. I didn’t used to be a pay to win game. It was fun and was a real strategy game, and you didn’t have to pay just to get good Items out of boxes. Also PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE HACKERS. And even though they give a toxic energy pay attention to the bad reviews in order to make the game better. I personally think that the old versions of SM were better and had a better game experience. I’m talking about the versions that had more loot boxes or even the store. Back when it wasn’t pay to win and when loot boxes were better and had a better chance of giving the types of Items they were supposed to. I really liked the old SM and would greatly appreciate it if you would consider this. Thank you

Disappointed

As a long-time player of the game (4 yrs) I’m pretty disappointed. I quit for about a year and a half, and returned to find out that the game has been completely remodeled, which I was fine with, sometime change is needed. But once I had loaded the game up, I quickly discovered that all of the items I had earned over a good 2.5 years were effectively useless. Now I’m stuck in arena 1, where everyone is better than me, because all the new items are better than the older “legacy” items, and some of the time, the legacy items won’t even fire. So I had to sell them all for more power, which doesn’t seem bad, until you take into account that one of the main forms of progression can only be done by tons of grinding, (getting gold) so i can’t upgrade any of my higher level weapons I got from the item crates that I bought with my tokens I had from the past. Not the best way to treat returning players.

Been playing the game since I was little

This has been one of my favorite games over the years. It is just so much fun whether it’s PVP or the campaign. One of the best things about this game is that it doesn’t spit an Ad into your face every 30 seconds. You have a choice to watch an Ad to get certain rewards though. While it may be pay to win, you still have to grind. Also, maybe adding some sort of base similar to Clash of Clans that you defend from Mechs would be cool. That would be awesome, just a recommendation for a major update. Also another benefit of this game is that you can play on pc and mobile too. Thanks devs, I really like the Clash of Clans type games so it would be cool if you added more things to your base and made it similar to CoC because right now the base is kinda boring to see and it needs an overhaul.

Been playing for 7-8 years I love it.

Im not gonna lie, i have been playing this game since it was first launched like 8 years ago. I've played on and off over the years as i got older but realizing it was now a game i can have on my phone, was a game changer. Honestly i love the fact that you hardly ever watch ads. you can to gain certain rewards like 20% more health, or a few tokens. other than that, ads are a rarity. And i know i speak for myself, and other when i say, no complaints here 😂. I’ve been grinding out my new account since last year and i still have a ways to go. it takes a lot of grinding to get to the higher ranks in PvP, but its 100% worth it. ive loved this game ever since it came out. Good job

Unabashedly Pay-to-Win

I’ve played this game for a long time. I played the game this one was based on, from the same developer. The core gameplay and concept are good. But the game is so openly pay-to-win that I don’t know why a new player would want to start. Premium-only items that are objectively the strongest in the game, premium accounts that give more gold and XP, a calcified PVP meta so bad that you play against the same handful of builds on repeat. The game is just really frustrating, and so many of the weapons feel samey after the update that removed “legacy” items because so many are reskins of each other with little variation even in stats. Almost every time an interesting new part that might change gameplay gets added, it’s something that benefits the meta builds and entrenches them further and it’s a premium-only item. There’s also only been one significant balance change in the last year, and it barely affected the meta. Stay away from this game.

Great game, small kink

This is a great game to pass the time or get serious about, very entertaining platform but two updates ago removed or unintentionally made the Power Kits invisible yet they still occupying storage space, can't upgrade them to make room but I'm still getting more and more of these Power Kits from cases taking all my storage space and when I go to the Upgrade tab and filter to Power Kits nothing is there, I count my current inventory that I can see and not even half my storage should be filled, I was hoping it would have been fixed by the last update but nothing yet, please Devs. If you don't mind looking into this, I'll still play the game but that small issue is hindering my continuous gameplay.

Dear new player

I love sm so much been playing for about 8 years now I love both versions of the game I just don’t like how you have to pay to get better I wish campaign gave you way more tokens and coins and I think getting boxes out the base was a great idea but spending so many coins and so many token you spend hour and hours and hours just trying to get tokens other then I have no issues with super mech I love ener mgt mechs makes you need to find a way to make everything work I love how best mechs make you lose a turn and I love how much power the physical mechs can make keep it up

Serious problem with loot boxes

I write this review in the hope to spare new players from getting involved with this game. There are premium items that are needed in this competitive PVP game to reach the top; these items are supposedly available from purchasable loot boxes, but the drop rate is so low (if not actually 0%) that a player can spend $1000s without finding them. This would not be such a huge imbalance if there were not hackers in the game who have many of these items. Further, the game company does not do anything about the hackers because they know it will create imbalance and lead players to waste their money in an attempt to keep up. Lastly, they do not follow the required App Store rule of showing the percentage chance of items in their loot boxes. Overall this has decent gameplay but it is definitely a game to avoid due to the ongoing corrupt loot box practice as well as ongoing unaddressed hacking.

It’s fun but the in-game store makes the game a borderline pay to win

The point of having a campaign is to level up and increase in experience. The piece mechanics work well, the arena is full of paying players who have bought custom mechs and premium packs. The problem I have with this is that if 1 person has bought a mech and I lose once, okay, fair enough. Now if I lose to 3 consecutive times to custom mechs it’s pretty disheartening. The ingame currency (gems) are very easy to come buy but that’s the problem. Once you can buy 2-3 premium packs (600~900 gems) the experience of the campaign just deflates once you can just buy your way into the game. I’d rather pay $2 for a game free of stores with a nice campaign than have a borderline - pay to win system.
