This would be much easier to give 5 stars if not for how immediately frustrating it becomes. I am a completionist. I do enjoy a struggle, but getting this level of struggle out of level 2 is.... well, I’ve not experienced it yet in another game! In one way it’s refreshing that the game doesn’t baby you by making it stupidly easy from the get-go, but I feel like there needs to be a bit more coding to make levels, well, DO-ABLE.... Let me explain how the game works a bit first. The game does a wonderful job of explaining for itself, by the way. Sushi spins in a circle. It is color coded to monsters that appear. You push the eating utensils at the bottom of the screen to send a sushi to the nearest monster. If you get the color wrong, the monster leaves. There are trash cans that you can get rid of a sushi to get to the correct color. Monsters have a meter that they will pay you and leave if it’s completely filled, and they will leave angrily if the meter completely depletes. Now to why the second level is HEAVILY RNG based, and is ridiculously difficult to get 3 stars on despite it being the second level of the game. The stars that are he issue are: don’t lose a life (don’t have any monsters leave angrily), and don’t use a trash bin ever. It’s completely random what color monster comes up, so you’re at the mercy of what RNG gives you. I’ve spawned into a level with a red sushi at the beginning of my train, and only green monsters spawn. This game is truly RNG based, which makes it frustrating in its nature. Rather than coding it to baby you and give you what you need (which is certainly one option) I’d ask for this level to be moved farther down, this feels way too frustratingly RNG based for level 2. I will keep playing and see what’s in store but wow, I’m getting quite frustrated at this little game. I’m having trouble deciding if it’s a fun frustration or a “what were you guys thinking with this game” frustration. That all being said I have a strange inner desire to keep trying, despite a growing sense of defeat of being at the mercy of heavy RNG. I have to say it almost feels stacked against me as a player at times, but that can be how it feels if you try over and over and over. Maybe I’m just getting really unlucky?
