Instantly Engaging, Tons of Great Language
I’ve been using this app for years with both my own kids and my Speech/Language Therapy students. I love how kids can choose their character and see themselves or their friends in any job. The pacing is just right to encourage intentional play. Kids make matches and are reinforced with fun mini-games which encourage more learning and vocab exploration. This is the perfect supplement to any community helpers unit. It can be used to target preschool vocab, associations, and categorization. It’s also great for older students at different levels of development without being babyish or mindless. One more super cool feature is the ability to play in 12 different languages! This is perfect for ELL/ESL students who can play in both their first and second language (or for anyone taking a foreign language class). Often, the spoken words are paired with the written word. In addition to all of this navigating the game is intuitive, the sounds and voices are high quality, and the graphics are simple and beautiful. A must-have app!

My 6 year old loves to play this game. We have bought all of Little 10 robots apps because they are so educational yet so fun. It is not your average ABC learning app, kids can create new things and their apps really think outside of the box. Little 10 robots is AMAZING!!!

This is great for tiny guys just learning. We were stuck in a storm shelter during some very rough weather and this totally entertained and kept the two year old happy.

Doesn’t work on my iPhone
Bought a bundle and the apps aren’t scaled for my smaller iPhone screen even though it says it’s compatible. My toddler gets so frustrated because she can’t find all the parts necessary to move on. If it fit she would love these apps.

nice teaching tool
Swapsies Occupations is an app that teaches kids about community workers and the tools they use. Customize your worker, girl or boy, and then you are set to play. There are 2 modes of play, an exploration mode and a quiz mode. In exploration mode, you are able to mix and match as you please, but if you match the uniform up.....You are enthusiastically rewarded by the narrator, and get to play a variety of early learning activities relating to the theme of the occupation of the character you dressed; i.e. if you dress the baker properly, you get to sort cookies - YUM! (You can also access the games through a spinner). In quiz mode, you are asked to first, complete the uniform of the the community member, and then in a bonus round do a visual scan for other things that you may associate with that person. I love the bonus round...it really helps to show if your child has integrated the material. This app is a wonderful teaching tool for home and preschools - to help kids learn about their ever expanding world and who is in it.

Amazing App! Must have!
I can't say enough about this app! This app is so cute and well thought out, but still remains simple and easy to use! Teach occupations with this swipe input game! Swipe the clothes on the character (you get to choose which character to dress) and make them a fireman, police man, doctor, cowboy and many more. The new update also features little games after you dress the character (rounding up the cows for the rancher!). It has a quiz me game that is great for comprehension (it has the occupation in the middle and asks "what does an astronaut fly in?" with four pictures to choose from! I use this app in speech therapy sessions with language delayed kids to boost receptive and expressive language skills! I am also planning on making a paper dolls with the images from the app for my kids to take home! Love spinlight! Thanks! -Mandi Schaumburg M.S. CCC-SLP

When I Grow Up, I Want to Be...Update
The new version of Swapsies is even more fun. My grandson is a year older and he really likes the new activites that he can play. Spinlight Studios definitely knows how to engage kids.
Review of first version:
This app is so easy to use! The large buttons and easy swiping motion make it easy for my two-year-old grandson to play this game on his own. Of course, I have fun playing it with him as we create doctors, construction workers, cowboys, astronauts, and even doctor-nauts or cowboy-firemen by mixing and matching the hats, shirts, and pants. My grandson quickly discovered the button that plays a sound for each completed character: a train blast for the engineer, a horse neighing for the cowboy, a doorbell for the mail carrier. This is one app that will keep him entertained on our next road trip!

Swapsies Job is another fantastic application for your kids to play, and learn while playing it for hours. In Swapsies Jobs, you will match uniforms for jobs like Police Officers, or Fire Fighter, then do a unique game based on that job. Ex. Putting out a fire for the Fire Fighter Job. It is a great game to help your kids learn, and also have fun for hours!
