Add up to 79* perfectly sampled virtual Indian instruments to your iPhone or iPad's sequencer! SwarPlug is an Audio Unit Extension that will load in AUv3 compatible hosts like Garageband, Cubasis, AUM, Audiobus, etc... as additional voices that can be played through the keyboard, in new loops created from scratch through your MIDI editor, or by using the thousands of MIDI loops included in the plugin.
SwarPlug also supports Inter-App Audio, so you can link it to virtually anything!..
*IMPORTANT: This app initially only includes the Tabla instrument but you can download any additional voice you like through In App Purchasing. You can listen to a short demo clip of each instrument in the list.

Bad sound after updates
After update recently it is giving very bad sound delay and distorted harmonium . Panic level bar is too high once keys are hit . Please fix the issue .

LACKING FEATURES
5 years and still no legato. Selecting presets has the WORST UX when used as an AU inside Cubasis. The instrument is not sorted at all, instruments are scattered all over the place and it is laid out in 4 column mode with some custom scrolling that is a hit or miss (most of the time miss) and the list closes abruptly for 99% of the time! Swiping the list does not work but selects the wrong instrument. We have to scroll using an arrow at the bottom that is missed most of the time. Every time we open the instrument list, it goes to the top of the list forcing us to scroll down again instead of auto-scrolling to the selected instrument on the track. These make it unusable more than 80%. This is a very BAD UX for absolutely no reason. They should just revert the instrument list to a regular list with alpha sorting. Simple. No full screen mode in AU inside Cubasis. Scrolling in the folder and items lists is a similar nightmare as swiping does not work. I’ll gladly give it a 5-star rating if the above are resolved.

Great sounds but missing a couple of features
Firstly I have to say that the sounds are great, and I love the way that instruments can be added with one purchase at a time. Most of the Indian instruments on the App Store are overpriced garbage, and this is the ONLY one I have ever found where it seems like effort went in to sampling the instruments.
However, I do think there is room for improvement, with (in my opinion) two important features are missing. The first is a pitch bend control for the built in keyboard, and the second is background audio. Pitch bend is essential for instruments like the sitar, and I have run into problems with connecting control surface apps due to background audio not being present.
Overall a great app, and a big thank you to the developer.

THE Indian music app
I stumbled upon this app last week and because of the stellar reviews I tried it out. I concur with the other reviews — this app is fantastic. The samples are all high quality and each instrument comes with patterns and loops. Of course you can also play any of the instruments with a MIDI keyboard. The tabla voice that comes with the app is the best tabla I’ve heard on the iPad. After listening to samples of the other instruments available I went ahead and bought the all instruments pack — well worth it. If you have any interest in Indian music — particularly percussion — you need this app! The developers are also very courteous and helpful.

Unusable
Extremely frustrating app. The sounds I’ve tried are excellent, but it’s extremely difficult to use. In lots of panels, text labels are cut off so you can’t read it, and it’s extremely difficult to scroll the list of loops / patterns without accidentally clicking something else. This isn’t the default behavior of UIScrollView, I don’t know why it’s working like this.
It seems like the most useful thing you can do with the app is use it extremely carefully to export loops to use elsewhere: there’s no way I could use this in a performance setting.

If you are looking for highly authentic Indian instrument multi-samples, this is it. Huge variety; expensive if you buy them all, but quality is quite good, not cheesy like most. Sequencer is a bit baffling though.

Restore purchases does not work.
Like the other review says, purchases made within app are ‘lost’ if you uninstall and install or install it on a new iPad. Also the purchase window glitches every 5 seconds, it keeps downloading stuff....never ending loop. The app itself is great, but completely unusable, apple shouldn’t approve such buggy apps.

I spent money on instruments, and I don’t have instruments.
I spent money thru my apple store account to get some more voices for your product. I purchased at least 4 extra voices. The money was taken from the account , but I don’t have those voices I paid for. Where are the voices?

I bought the Sitar sound and am playing through the GeoShred app. The Sitar sounds are reproduced so well, it is so awesome. I love this. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
