Swipewipe is the app that'll (finally) help you clean up your camera roll.
We'll save you time here. There ARE other apps that can help you quickly delete photos on your phone. But none of them worked for us.
We wanted a simple, fast, elegant solution that let us go month-by-month, work our way through all the photos, videos, screenshots, and everything else in our camera roll, and decide - one by one - what to keep and what to get rid of.
Swipe right to keep a photo, and left to delete it. If you make a mistake, just tap the current photo to go back. Hold down on a picture to see its metadata. At the end of each month, you'll get one last look at the photos you chose to keep and delete, and can make any tweaks if you need to. Then...you're done! You'll be shown how many images you deleted, and how much space you've saved - for this month, and all-time.
Each time you finish a month, it'll be crossed out. (You can always revisit it, though.) If you get part way through a month and want to take a break, you can quit the app - a progress wheel to the right of the month's name will show you how much progress you've made, and how much further you have to go.
If you’d rather not go month by month (or even if you do!) we think you’ll like our new On This Day feature. It sticks to the top of your Swipewipe home screen, and each day, it updates with the photos that you took on this date one year ago, two years ago, and so on. Revisit these memories, and swipe through to determine what you’d like to keep and what you’d like to delete. It’s pretty fun.
Our camera rolls shouldn't be such a mess. Scrolling back, you should be able to see the memories you've made without getting interrupted by blurry duplicates, irrelevant screenshots, and other clutter that keeps you from the good stuff.
So, that’s how Swipewipe was born. We hope you like it.

SO AMAZING AND USEFUL!!
omg i've had this app for like 5 minutes and i've already deleted almost 100 pictures i'm never gonna post or look back on for memories or that are just not useful in any way shape or form. it's scary making sure you swipe the right way but like you can look at what you swiped to delete before you actually go to delete it. i always try "detoxifying" my phone but i always get board of it but this app makes it kinda fun like a dating app or whatev. and it's so motivational when you see the cross next to the month you just cleared. i never really write reviews but i just love this app sm!!!
ok i'm back i see lots of people complaining about having to wait x amount of hours but all i did was delete and then redownload the app and just keep track of the months i've done in my head!

One of my favorite app finds
This app is honestly pretty amazing, I found it while looking for ways to clear up space on my phone having wayyy too many pictures and found it to be a fun and efficient way to clean up some space and get rid of photos i don't need. The only issue - and why i didn't give it 5 full stars instead of the four i did - was the wait between months to look through as a free user. The app categorizes photos by month, and every time you complete a month it makes you wait a little before going through photos of the next month in time. But the catch is that you only wait a little the first few months you do, each time you finish a month you have to wait an hour longer than you did for the previous one. Waited three hours between April and May? Now wait four between May and June. Seven hours between October and November, well here's an eight hour wait for December! I think it would make sense for it to be a fixed time even if it was like 6 hours or something I'd be more understanding than this, having a camera roll that is years long i'll be having to wait multiple days at some point if I want to keep going which is really difficult, especially because doing the app is actually really fun so it makes me want to clean my camera roll faster. Anyways that's why it's near perfect and hope they will consider changing it to a fixed time, otherwise totally recommend!

having to pay for a membership to really use the app
This app is a easy and really quick and convenient way to get rid of old pictures. I downloaded this app in the first place because my camera roll takes about 80% of my phone storage. The app itself is really easy to use, you swipe left to discard, swipe right to keep. Kinda like a dating app. You pick a month and year you want to delete photos from and just start swiping. However, my problem is that you can only swipe FIVE times until it stops you and says you have to pay for a membership to get unlimited swipes. You can get 3 days for free and then the only plan after that is 30$ per year. Maybe if they offered a cheaper plan like a week or a month, i’d pay, but they don’t. 30$ is a little expensive for me and i think i can say for a lot of others too. And also if you don’t wanna pay for the membership, then you have to wait 5 hours just for 5 more swipes. I don’t know why you should 30$ and not instead go to your camera roll and manually delete pictures yourself.

Really great for clearing up your photos!
I’ve been trying forever to sort through my photos but it’s always so difficult, especially since i have so many photos. This app makes it super easy to sort through them! The only down side is that you have to pay for premium or wait a long time to sort through photos again. But I’m usually very busy and when I am sorting through the photos it’s A LOT of photos, so the break is pretty nice. If you don’t like waiting however, then this app is probably not the best pick for you. But i would definitely recommend it since it has help me SO MUCH! I’ve gone through so many of my photos and saved so much storage.

Good, wait time is an issue
another review put this into better terms but I feel as it needs to be shared more. It is a great app and a fun way to clear storage but the wait times changing get very annoying. Every time you complete a set the wait time before you can do another goes up by an hour. I would put 5 stars if they had like a set time of about like 6-8 hours instead of the continuous growing time. At some point I’m going to have to wait multiple days to continue. If this time was changed I would give it five stars. I think it is a very fun way to clear your photos, I like that it lets you undo and review your photos before deleting them, and the way the photos are organized. Overall I will continue to use the app despite the time because it is very helpful in my opinion, but it won’t be a five star app without some change.

Great app idea but with major flaw
I love the idea for this app and it’s SOO much faster than having to click delete twice on each individual photo in the photos app, and i like how the photos are split up into months to make it more manageable. However, I think that the subscription aspect is really stupid. Even if the app was just a few dollars to own, that would be fine. I think it’s dumb that I’m expected to pay $5 per month or wait 15 hrs to keep going through my photos after I’ve “used all my swipes” for the day. I personally don’t want to look through my photos every single month and I’d rather wait at least a few months and go through them all together. The subscription based payment doesn’t seem like it would be successful for this type of app at all and I wish it wasn’t there. Otherwise this app would be a 10/10.

Great app, the timer is really annoying tho.
Its a great app for people like me who screenshot everything and forget about it later, or take pictures of literally everything and anything. It has saved me lots of storage, and is a simple yet fun way to clean out a messy camera roll. My only complaint is the timer. At first, it lets you clear three months of pictures, but youd have to wait 3 hours until you can do anything else. And it doubles every time. You clear out 3 months, you wait 3 hours. You wait the 3 hours then itll let you clear 1 month, now you have to wait 4 hours. and so on. Of course you can always pay the $5 a month and have unlimited access, but just a heads up, you're gonna be waiting a long time if you have a huge camera roll.

good idea but the actual app is kinda bad.
I think this app is a cool idea, but there are multiple problems with the app. Firstly, it is very laggy for me. I don’t know if this is because I have too many photos, but as soon as I start scrolling, it gets very laggy. My next problem is that you have to wait a VERY long time to keep deleting photos after you already deleted a month of photos. While i’m writing this review, I have to wait 5 hours to keep deleting even though I only deleted photos from one month today. I think the point of this app is to make deleting photos easier, but it’s obviously not doing its job if it takes so much time. I think that this app could keep their “pay to keep deleting” feature (even though i prefer they don’t) but they have to make it if you delete a year of photos. But until that happens, i do not recommend this app.

THIS APP IS A MUST
i am in love with this app because it makes my life SO MUCH EASIER. but also first of all i’d just like to add that like there’s zero glitches & it works SOOO well. anyway, this makes my life so much easier because when i try & go through my photos to delete stuff, i either have to select in bulk which doesn’t let me see if i wanna keep certain videos or pictures because i cant inspect them OR i have to go one by one & see if i wanna keep stuff which is SO annoying. this makes its so much easier because it’s kind of like a mix of those two things, i can inspect each photo or video & it’s so so fast so i’m basically deleting in bulk.

Best phone cleaning app!!!
This app was perfect for me when it came to clearing space for my phone. It made deleting phones go from a 3 step process to a fast swipe. It took me about 15 minutes to delete 1,374 photos. Best part, it’s free. I mean yes it asks for you to pay for their subscription but you have what you asked for without even paying for it. I can say it does give you a 4 hour time wait once you’ve cleared 3 months of photos, but I don’t even mind because I’ve been searching for this app, this is exactly what I needed and if I have to wait a couple hours before I can quickly make more room in my phone, so be it.
