Tackle Football Playmaker X is a playbook design, collaboration and printing app. We've built on the foundation of our coach-favorite Playmaker app and added cloud backup, multi-device syncing, advanced diagramming, animation, deeper printing options and more.

Loving this
I used the original app for years and think this new version is great. I like that it’s still easy to draws plays quickly, but also like that they’ve added more detailed drawing options like option routes and text that I can put right on the play. Being able to give all coaches and players access is great too.

I really it, but….
I’ve used playmaker tackle football and playmaker flag for a few years now. Both were pretty useful in putting ideas down on paper in a clear and concise way. Playmaker x continues In the tradition of the previous playmakers, but it has added animation to the app. I really love the animation. The coaches I work with like and the kids really liked as well. The problem have is that it isn’t as easy to use as I would like it to be.
Animating the players is pretty easy. Point then in a direction and they move.
Animating the football is a much tougher. As a person with big hands, it’s tough for me to move the football without moving the lineman, Qb or running back. A fix to this would be a zoom feature onto the screen so that u can actually see what you’re trying to do. It would make following the lines a lot easier as well.
The football should also default to the star player on the screen. That would help with making the plays.
There are also a few widgets in the program that I haven’t seen defined. So I don’t know what their purpose is for.

So far so good
This will be my first time using this app. I just became head coach of my 13u youth football team and I wanted to utilize an app that will digitize my playbook since my players love being in their phones anyway. So far this app has been very helpful. Creating plays and formulating it to what fits my team has been very easy. Would have given it 5 stars but the only thing I feel that the app is missing is something along the lines of a word document feature where you can add literature (not just notes) to your playbook. Other then that, this app has been really good.

Best All Around Playmaker Out There!
I’ve used this app for 5 years now and check out others every year. I’ve found nothing that is easier to use, has all the features anyone would want, and looks more quality than anything on the market.

As good as it gets!
This is an outstanding app for football coaches. The ability to draw up a playbook and animate plays in such an easy to use interface is a godsend. The ability to print wristbands, playbooks, call sheets is also highly useful. I couldn't ask for a better app!

Great program
I recently upgraded to cloud based program. This program is great as we can share with other coaches and players. Our coaching staff has one former NFL defensive back and pro qb. The cloud based element allows them to design plays in real time without sending codes back and forth.

Great options but app doesn’t work
I wanted an intuitive easy app to develop plays and formations, went online, paid for the upgrade, so far so good. Once I downloaded the app, that’s when the good times ended, it just sits in an initializing stage and nothing happens. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Super frustrating as I was looking forward to using the app and sharing these formations with my other coaches, instead I spent all that time when simply drawing it up likely would have been better

When editing a formation
How come when editing a formation I click and hold a player (to move him) this menu pops up and I can’t see where he’s at… is there a way to turn this off ?
