Wow! This is a must get
Love Sandy’s books and this app is a great way to save money instead of buying the cards. The tangles are very inspiring. After playing around with a few of them, I was able to go in completely different directions. The step outs were clear and very well done done, she really paid attention to every detail, the shading was on point. If you’re looking for a Zentangle app that will get your creative juices flowing and is well made, this is the app for you. I have them all, and this is the best. If only I could add out add outside tangles, then it it would be perfect.

All my life, I’ve wished I could draw. My job (my joy) is making art with all the different media available. But I need to use someone else’s artwork and my light box to do so. I LOVE tangles—I can draw with them. This is a grand book of tangles. I use it often—not for commercial work, obviously, but for self fulfillment.

Love the variety and portability!
I'm a huge fan of the Zen Tangle books by Sandy Steen Bartholomew. This take the tangles on the go with me. I always have a small notebook and little pack of pens in my purse. I consult the app with the various tangles and step-by-step instructions to get inspiration. I purchased an additional add-on and it integrates perfectly with the original app, listed alphabetically by tangle name. Great value!

This app is so fun, but...
I give it five stars and I mean it because it is really fun. But, I not sure it counts as Zentangle. I don't think it claims to be and I really don't have a problem with that, just trying to let people know what to expect. It is more representational than a Zentangle patten would be. The step-outs are clear and well done. I love the finished examples of each tangle. Taking a photo of my work and adding it to the library is also very cool & helps me keep track of my work. I've purchased all versions of the app, very little money very well spent-and it's fun.

Not as good as it could be
It has plenty of nice examples. However the guides come up short on steps. If all you need for inspiration is seeing example this should work, but if you want to be shown step by step the whole example don't count on this. Additional examples can be purchased and at this time total $12 dollars.

Wonderful!
Great little app that is simple to use and well designed for intuitive navigation. The tangle patterns are illustrated in a manner that is easy to understand. The results give a wonderful sense of accomplishment in a short period of time. Easy to transport so all you need is pen and paper. Or a stick and some dirt... Thanks for sharing your work this way. I look forward to seeing more patterns in the future and hope other artists follow your lead with the app!

Wonderful World of Zentangling
I was looking for an online reference to Zentangling and was shocked to find this app. It is great and I use it all the time. I am an older adult with many disturbing issues so it is difficult to gain much peace or serenity. However, since learning of Zentangling I find I am able to gain some measure of peace. Thank you so much.
I hope there is more coming, and will wait anxiously for new arrivals.

This app is cool but not the best. I definitely feel cheated of $5. I feel like .99 would have been a better price for this app. For several reasons.
1. Once you buy the app you only get about 20 free patterns, after that you have to buy them which stinks since you've a learnt bought the app.
2. The set up isn't as nice as other zentangle apps I've seen.
Overall good app, especially if you A) don't want a lot of patterns or B) if you are committed enough to actually buy the others.
