So good!
I was so excited to see that Detective Grimoire is back! I loved The Secret of the Swamp, so I had high hopes for Tangle Tower. I was not disappointed! It’s every bit as good, maybe even better than TSotS. The gameplay was pretty similar, with some fun differences thrown in. The voice actors were fantastic and the humor was legitimately funny. I do wish it was longer, but that’s just because I like it so much. I wouldn’t consider it a short game. Five stars!

A fun adventure, with a story that doesn’t make sense.
This is a great adventure game, the writing is really good, the music and settings are interesting, and it’s pretty funny at some points too. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the solution to the mystery- after all the careful world building, the ending seemed contrived, forced, and a little ridiculous. The way they crammed a bunch of totally new lore into the last 15 mins of the game after the player had ‘solved’ the mystery in order to attempt to make the convoluted ending fit with the rest of the story felt really clumsy to me. I say that only because everything else was done so well, that it caught me off guard how inelegant the ending was. Despite that, I still thoroughly enjoyed the game and would recommend it to fans of adventure and mystery games.

Freakin love this game
Honestly one of my favourite games ever. It went missing for a while and I couldn’t find it on the App Store but now it’s back and I’m so happy!!!
