Hello TapTapSee family!

As you’ve probably noticed, we recently introduced a video component feature that we’ve been very excited about. We’ve been equally excited about all of the positive feedback we’ve received in regards to it as well! However, in order to continue to build upon TapTapSee’s video recognition, we will be temporarily disabling video processing while we make significant changes to our API endpoint in hopes of improving the app as a whole to our - and your - standards.

We thank you for your patience as we strive to improve TapTapSee on a daily basis, and we can’t wait to unveil an even better performing video recognition feature in the future!

DarkSquared42,
Has helped me many times
It usually takes a while, and many tries, to get a good picture, but it has come through for me on countless occasions.
I would give it five stars if they would make it repeat more than just the last picture taken, because sometimes you take a picture, and while you’re waiting you take another one, and the second one comes in far faster than the first so that you missed what the first one was, but the repeat only does the second. That, or they could just list the history of the last five pictures taken or whatever on the screen in text form.
blind-gamer,
Great app Tap Tap See for the blind
I think this is a pretty good app for a blind user to have to use for a lot of identification. I've used this app when it first came out or at least since I first heard about it back in 2012 on my iPhone 4s, I was much impressed at to what I heard and now I feel the app has much improved. In fact, the other day, I laid some hand towels out on my bathroom vanity and had the lights on, I needed to know the colors to sort them, since I already knew the colors of towels I had, but not knowing which one was which, I took several pictures with tap tap see and each item was correctly described of it's color, I managed to even get a pic of myself of my shirt I was wearing at the time, tap tap see woman wearing a white shirt, that was right too. I've used it in recognizing some items in my pantry as well. It's a good useful app for me, I am very glad it's still available, I had purchased the 100 picture pack, of course I am very glad to have the pictures free, but it would be worth it to me to pay again if that was necessary.
Timothy Raymond Jones,
So long Tap Tap See
I used to love this app, but it seems like ever since the app became free to use the quality has dramatically dropped. When I first got this app, I would hold it up in front of the LCD display screens on the thermostats in our home to set the temperature. Our thermostats were pushbutton to adjust the temperature, and had switches to change the mode or turn the fan on and off. If I knew what’s the setting was on, I would know how many times to press the button to set it to the desired temperature. For instance, Tap Tap See would tell me that the thermostat was set at 60°, and that the house temperature was 65. I was then able to realize that if I wanted to set the heat at 68 that I would simply need to push the up button eight times. Recently though, I have resorted to calling AIRA when I need help adjusting the thermostat as this app will say something along the lines of thermostat is set at 20/5. Also, I loved the new video feature that was being introduced, with this app, but this feature was very short-lived. I have anxiously been waiting for it to return for nearly a year now, and nothing has come out. Unless a miracle occurs, I suspect this app is finished with updates and will soon be retired just as the Look Tell money reading app was.
Totally blind one,
Good but could be better
It is really good but could be better if only you could see exactly if it was a female or male or a dog on the picture that would be awesome or even say the background in a trailer load bad in front of a window that kind of thing that kind of picture would be awesome and help people more that are totally blind that would like to keep memories alive so they can explain it to their kids or their grandkids are there nieces and nephews or friends because when a friend or family member or someone says well where was this taken people can't answer that because they can't see what the background is they can't tell what year it is so you and the time and day would be great if you could just say that you know like it was taken on October 3, 2016 at 5:00 PM instead of just saying one small face one large face and bottom corners for upped up in the middle you know in any stability in the middle or it's a female botched it and it's a female or and it's Mel or it's a dog or the cat kind of thing it now otherwise it's a great app I like it like I said you could do be improved but for start it's pretty good
Dorvell,
Impressive!
My girlfriend told me about this app a couple days ago when I was getting ready to post some pictures of us on my Facebook page, but wasn't sure how many of the recent ones had already been shared. I'm generally very good at this, as I remember The order in which my pictures are displayed very well. She not only told me about the app, but also taught me how to use it after I downloaded it to my phone. Wow! I don't know of a better app out there for this kind of thing. Maybe Facebook should incorporate some of this apps technology/software into how it describes pictures.

The only thing that would make this app even better than it is would be if it described videos. Hopefully, the developers will get on that for a future update!
Goom Soom GamerDoom,
Leaving the free for pictures because it’s very Much better
I used this app in 4 years ago. I’m so happy with this app because it’s free for taking photos. I was taking photos a lot. Because I couldn’t see my money, checks, uno cards game, math problems for class, movie box, and more. I tried to use app to pictures for we can read it. This is a really good help to read the photos a lot. I remember the TapTapSee if not free for taking pictures. I don’t need to buy more pictures after finishing pictures. So now they have a new update for I can make a free for photos a lot. Better for me. Make sure you can leave it there every time. Thanks very much for using free photos! And you’re a great working hard a lot 👍
squirelmaster,
Used to be *****
App used to work great. You could take a picture of just about anything(shirt, pair shoes, dresser, etc.), The app would be quick and accurate about getting back to you with what you were looking at. Regularly, I would use TapTapSee to sort through my paper money, never had any problems. About 2 to 3 weeks ago, I went to use the app for the purpose of sorting through my cash, and something had changed. Now instead of taking a picture of paper currency, and being told that I have either a one dollar bill, or say a $20 bill, I am told that I am looking at a grey and white stamp, or A piece of textile, or maybe even a pink wallet, even though there may be nothing of the sort in the picture.

I used to be able to depend on this app. Now I’ve come to depend on my phones magnifier, Which is much more time-consuming, plus the fact that I do not like to depend on what I’m looking at.
Cameron knotts,
Tap tap C
I would really recommend this app for people like me who have no vision at all and or visually impaired like me or have some vision like my friend Jason. This app helps me a lot with telling me what I have in the pantry and then I go take a picture of things in the store and it will tell me with voiceover and I can either get that item if it’s the right thing I want or not. Also, it helps me with knowing if it’s a one dollar bill or a five dollar bill or anything like that. And it is also good for taking pictures of electronics. I think this is a great app for people like me and I would really recommend it.
Bboy Julian22,
Gone downhill recently...
This app used to be very helpful, like if I wanted to know what kind of juice we had, I would just pull out my phone and take a picture of the jug with TapTapSee and it would tell me the flavor and brand. Recently though, it’s gotten really bad. For instance; this morning I was making a bagel and cream cheese for breakfast. I knew what kind of bagels we had, but forgot what flavor cream cheese there was. So I pulled my phone out and go to take a picture of it with TapTapSee. It just told me that it was a white and blue container. So I thought “maybe it’s upside down, I’ll turn it”. Same thing happened again. It’s been doing this for a couple of weeks now, and I would like if this bug could please be fixed. I will change my review to the five stars it deserves once it gets fixed, but as of right now it is only worth one star
Lexinav13,
A great way to be independent
This is an awesome app! It is definitely the best picture app for the blind and visually impaired. The picture descriptions are usually correc, end it helps me a lot when I post pictures to Instagram or Facebook. Now, when someone sends me a picture I can just use the app instead of asking them what it is. I am so happy to know that the people who created this app were thinking of the visually impaired App Store users. I am also glad that they updated so you don't have to pay after a limited amount of pictures.
