I love the website so I found the app. How the heck can I search for a recipe? So far I can only scroll through and only get videos of recipes being made. I will keep trying cause I love the idea of the app.

Update: Found the search. Looked at the screenshots and just took a guess and clicked to the right where picture indicated the search magnifying glass. It worked. Maybe make it a different color. At least for iOS?

I downloaded the app and deleted it within the hour. I love the website, but the app is all videos. Like the other reviewer said, I found a list of recipes, but they’re all pictures. Where is the name of the recipe? Why is everything picture or video? Yes, they have their place, but I want to know what recipe I’m looking at or skim the recipe to determine if I want to make it instead of devote time to a video. Also, why is this video just blasting at me the second I open the app? I’d also love to be able to log in with my website credentials, but that doesn’t work? Bottom line: Website is great, app is awful.

This could be a good recipe app, but they apparently expect you to just endlessly scroll through recipes until you find something you want. It’s totally time wasting. I was looking for a specific recipe that Pinterest said was on Taste of Home. Figured I could find it on the app and add it to a recipe box or favorites like you. An on other cooking and recipe apps. Nope. No ability to search at all. How are you supposed to find anything? Had to go to the website. This app needs to be redesigned.

I thought I’d be able to bookmark some of the recipes I had found on their website in the app. However, I don’t see any easy way to do this, and was startled to hear loud music playing as soon as the app opened. Apparently the video feed starts automatically overall good recipes with little ad content, but was not what I was looking for.

There’s no way to search for the name of a recipe. If you have an account on the website, like I have for years, and have several folders with saved recipes, they aren’t transferred to the app. You have to start all over again. All I see are videos. What about the list of ingredients? What about the cooking directions? How about the information like serving size, nutritional information and cooking times? Maybe I’m missing something but this app is a total bust!!

The app has great recipes in it, unfortunately it does not have a search to be able to look up specific recipes. This is a huge problem I don’t like having to scroll through everything to try and find homemade bread recipes for instants. Very limited app.

I saw many recipes on Instagram that I wanted to save or print but it never let me because I wasn’t logged in. So I created an account, downloaded the app and I now I can’t find the recipes… only videos. There is no search to look for the recipes you saw on Instagram. I spent 1/2 hour trying to figure this out and I’m ready to give out. I don’t know how much I paid for the app and if I can get out of it. I am very dissatisfied.

Is there really a point to having the annoying music playing when I open the app? I’ve been embarrassed when opening the app several times by how loud the music is. Please make it go away

This app is full of videos on how to make a recipe. What is does not have are actual recipes, with ingredient and amounts listed. How is one supposed to follow a video how to without the amounts of ingredients listed?

And, as many have mentioned, there is no search box available.

There is no reference to their magazine issues either. This app is a total joke.

I read the only review. Downloaded the app. Couldn’t find the spy glass to enter a search. Double clicked too right corner & the search space appeared. Did a search for Chicken Pot Pie & the selection was 5 videos for boneless, skinless chicken breast. Tried the search again, different wording, poor results.
I love Taste of Home disappointed in the app.
