FinnyK,
Best app for ND meal planning
If you have ADHD and struggle with meal planning, or if you just have trouble with meal planning in general, I highly recommend this app. I’ve used other fitness apps mealplanners and whatnot but this is the best one. Features that work well: the search feature can help you narrow down recipes, you can add recipes directly to an online grocery cart that you can then check out (I use Walmart but I think there are other stores as well), and you can adjust the portions depending on how many people you are serving.
Downside: check your final orders because sometimes if a little of an ingredient was required for a few recipes you will end up with a pound of fresh ginger and cilantro. Speaking from experience.
Requested upgrade: if tasty would offer a weekly meal planning tab in addition to the digital recipe saving option, this would be a perfect app. Then I could just access the recipes I needed for the week instead of trying to remember what I was planning on making for the week.
ykdlyfifhdycxkgcn,
Tasty review
First of all, I think Tasty is a cool app. I love their recipes and deserts. Sometimes, I like to watch their baking videos just for fun. Another thing about Tasty is that they have a tips section at the bottom of each recipe. That’s where people write down their tips on how to bake/cook the recipes. HOWEVER, the thing is that TASTY DELETES PEOPLES COMMENTS! That made me really mad. At first, some people were saying in the tips section that Tasty deletes their comments and I didn’t believe them cuz I never saw it happen before. But yesterday lots of people wrote something bad about Tasty and today I checked the tips section again and their comments weren’t there. So now I know that tasty ACTUALLY DELETES PEOPLES COMMENTS! I’m seriously not lying. I would’ve given tasty a five star review but I only gave you a three star review because I’m mad at Tasty. Tasty is a good app but I don’t like how they remove peoples comments about them and leave only the good ones so that it would seem like Tasty is a good app.👎🏻😤Also, if you download Tasty and see that there are no complaints about people having their comments deleted it’s because Tasty probably deleted them.(So typical) 😪😒IF YOU DONT BELEIVE ME TRY IT YOURSELF!! If you say something horrible about tasty, tasty is probably going to delete it a day or two later. I wish I could give you proof but I can’t because I can’t post a picture here. Just believe me or try it yourself.
Ruroken68,
Very disappointed
Tasty used to be my favorite cooking apps (if not my most used apps in general). Not only were the recipes good, but I loved the videos that would actually show you what the process of cooking your meal would look like. I especially loved the Tasty 101 videos that were made by lots of different trials and errors to make a “perfect” version of a dish we all love (cake, cinnamon rolls, pumpkin pie, etc). The videos were my absolute favorite part of tasty and now they are either gone or have been replaced by horribly cut tik tok videos that don’t highlight the art of cooking so much as zoom (literal zoom) in on the stages on cooking with faster than ever cuts that makes me feel like I am experiencing whiplash within a cooking tutorial.

I learned SO MUCH from watching your videos. I could not make half the new recipes I try from different sources without the amazing videos you all made that would show me what each part of the process would look like (how think is my sauce, what does reducing the liquid look like, what does just mixed look like, etc…). It’s disappointing to me that the app has changed to gratify a 1 minute attention span crowd instead of what were almost cooking tutorial videos. I hope that tasty goes back to what they used to be someday.
kryptic phantom,
I LOVE Tasty!!!!!!!
Tasty is sooooo much fun! I love watching it for my electronic time whenever we have wii days. I love how they have live videos where the people are actually talking to the camera crew and the people watching. Kati and Chris, Jasmine and Hannah are amazing. I have made one of Hannah’s recipes and it was pretty great! We just accidentally left part of it out so it tasted different. I also made rice the way that Jasmine said to and it turned out perfect. I used the rice water for my hair, skin and plants. The only thing I can think of that you can improve in is watching your words. There are a lot of little kids out there. I have almost 7 siblings myself (4 and almost 5 are younger and love to watch Tasty too) and I know that they learn from it as do others. Other than that I can’t think of anything. I and my siblings love Tasty so much. I REALLY REALLY want to work there when I am older. Thank you Tasty for giving kids like us educational ( in math ,language and obviously, baking), but fun, funny, and entertaining videos to watch. I love you Tasty.

THIS IS ONLY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO WORK AT TASTY AND ARE READING MY REVIEW.

I did hear that Katie was looking for a list of things to make mini so if someone from Tasty reads this see if you can contact me. I don’t have a phone yet though. Try contacting this or something. If you can’t, I’ll eventually find out. 😊🤣🕛🕧🕐🕜🕑🕝🕒🕞🕓🕟🕔🕠🕕🕡🕖🕢🕗🕣🕘🕤🕙🕚
Elsalovescats,
Good app, needs Some improvement
I absolutely adore this app, when I feel like baking something I look around and just go for it! I also just love watching the videos of how to make the food! However, I think the app needs some improvement. I love that they added a section where you can leave tips, that’s extremely useful. But, some recipes are outdated or don’t work, or just don’t taste that good. This is resolved due to the tips but still I think they could update the recipes themselves to help others. Another issue I found is that the links don’t work, at the bottom of the app there are recipe ideas and other posts. In those posts there are links to the recipes, when you click on them they don’t work. It would be cool if you could click on it and the recipe would pop up online or in the app. I also have an idea for tasty, why not let users create there own recipes and have a separate tab to search user recipes? I think that would be cool and people could leave comments on their recipes. I highly recommend this app for any beginner baker/cooker or actually anyone!!
CaptAdmiral,
Great app for cooking
I’ve had this app for over a year now and I think this is great for anyone who loves cooking; the step by step videos are one of the fastest methods I’ve come across since it allows you to see what the dish should look like at each stage and you can rewind or just wait for the video to loop, this is great when you are making a recipe for the first time. This was a go-to app when we decide what to cook for dinner.
I say ‘was’ because the reason I’m writing this review today and only giving it 3 stars is while browsing to plan dinners for the week, suddenly there are ads popping up between videos where before there weren’t. C’mon Tasty I thought you were better than that. I understand that income is necessary but I was hoping you were getting the bulk of it from your cookware and book line as well as from your association with Buzzfeed. Now my cooking experience is interrupted by someone trying to sell me an electric toothbrush or apply for a credit card. I’m not saying I’m never going to use the app again, but I will think twice before I do and will more than likely break out our trusty cookbook instead.
@Recommendations,
Great app for ideas and guidance. Only one major digestion comes to mind.
First and foremost, the recommendations portion. Here I go. Tasty did an overall astounding job of developing this app. I would recommend to anyone who often feels the crave to cook, who needs practice, and who just wants inspiration. The recipes are exact for the most part except for sometimes the stove heat. The ingredients, procedures, and instructional visuals are well executed.
I only find one thing that could be improved (besides the minor stove heat issue). This is the filtration of the app. I just think it would be a bit more convenient if we had a better search function that shows more relevant results, and if the app’s suggestions would be more filtered based on what we normally search and mark as made. This isn’t too major, but it was a contributing factor to the deducted star. Anyway.
So yeah, to anyone considering downloading Tasty, I would recommend it to you all the way. Just don’t get to frustrated if it’s missing something, because I’ve found that the app is constantly improving.
um, france?,
Good, but a huge bug
This app was great when I used it, until recently a pretty significant and frustrating glitch occurred. I recently re-downloaded this app and logged in. It asked for my phone number (because that’s what I used when I first made my account), and everything was perfectly fine, until I closed out of the app. When I reopened the app, it had logged me out. A little weird, but fine, I’ll just sign in again. But when I tried to submit my phone number, an error message popped up that said something along the lines of “oops, something went wrong. Please try again later.” So I closed the app and waited for about 10 minutes. I tried again and the same thing. I tried to input my friend’s number and it worked, so it was clearly my phone number that was the problem. But when I closed and reopened the app again and tried her number again, that one wouldn’t work either. I need this to be fixed because I had a lot of recipes saved on my account and I can’t sign in.
Mtbe4,
Love the app, except shopping list
I really love this app. It is great except the shopping list is really not useful to me unless I’m just missing something. It just shows you the recipes and has a list of all the ingredients. Then lists another recipe and lists all the ingredients etc. you can remove ingredients from each recipe but still who shops by recipe? No one..it would make way more sense to add a recipe and then select which ingredients you need instead of defaulting everything to the list..I don’t need to buy salt every day and for every recipe. Usually I only need one or two things. Should add selected ingredients to a list and the list should be organized by food type (produce, spices, etc). It would be cool to see which recipe you are making that needs that ingredient still somehow (drill down menu?) As is I honestly just use a different app which I manually type in the ingredients I need because it actually organizes the ingredients and frankly it’s quicker than managing a 20 ingredient dump when all I need is ginger or something.
JCtheadjuster,
I LOVE TASTY!!!!
This app is amazing!!!! The food and recipe videos are awesome and they really help me and my family when figuring out last minute meal choices. Also, there are many videos in the app of people sharing food that taught them about their culture, family traditions, and what makes them who they are. I think it’s amazing that tasty includes people in their videos who wants to share who they are and what makes them special. Most of the time when I’m on tasty I don’t even have to be looking for something I will just watch all the amazing videos because all of them are so creative and look amazing! Also, on tasty there are different groups of tasty producers for example, tasty Japan, tasty demais, and tasty 101. On tasty 101 there are videos of an amazing producer, Claire showing you the best recipes to different foods. For example, how to cook the best cookies, how to cook the best brownies, how to cook the best pancakes, even how to cook the best eggs!!! There are even recipes you might have never heard of that will blow your mind. I love tasty and you will too!!!!
