Description

Tears of a Prophet is a mobile game developed by independent developer FarOffPeak. Set in an original savage fantasy world, this retro-style RPG in the style of classic "blobbers" like Wizardry, Might and Magic, and The Bard's Tale. In it you will build a party of 5 daring adventurers who must travel to the remote valley of Farvale in search of the eponymous Tears, magical gem-like stones said to embody the virtue of Saint Solizra, The Spurned Prophet. During their quest your heroes will plumb the perilous depths of forsaken ruins, fight monsters, unearth powerful artifacts, win over the locals and bring light and hope of a world being Unmade by the decadence and cruelty of mortals.

Great Game or great start — but where’s the rest?

It’s a great dungeon crawler. Lots of nice aspects to the game. I see some challenges for starting out and getting through the first couple encounters without completely killing off your party. That aside, I was really enjoying the game when it apparently ended with “more to follow soon”. Your guided through the game with quests. After about 6 or 7 quest and before you even get to the location of the gems your seeking, yep… that’s right. It’s suddenly ends.

So I gave it 5 stars in the hopes that more quests are added soon.

So good

This game is so freaking good. If you are looking for an iOS game that reminds you of wizardry/d&d/ pathfinder it is this game it fun the combats can rock you but it’s great when you win. Love the game you will get more than your moneys worth just in character creation.

Not functional

You literally cant close the inventory when youre setting up equipment. You literally designed a whole game with no way to close the inventory. The individual windows do not fit their own content and you cant read the text (“text wrap”- heard of it?). The map- is it supposed be able to be manipulated, ie zoomed in and out via some input? Bc touching it just tweaks it once in a random direction and you cant give any more inputs after that. Yo - you gotta test your games on the devices you intend to expect your customers to play it on, bc you clearly have not done that.
