Buggy
Had to start over and redo the survey because it told me there was an error after I submitted which was annoying but at least that’s a one time activity. The app is barebones though. Seems like a good opportunity to put in information about the product, pictures, videos, AR to see what it would look like on your wall, etc. Instead the signup is the only functionality. Not sure what type of financial info and sensitive info the app is grabbing but if you delete the app you won’t be notified if you’re selected for a tv.
msamykaufman,
Don’t bother
I signed up on the Telly website, downloaded the app as instructed, but when I click the link in the email, it doesn’t open the link in the app, it instead opens a Safari page.

Looks like Telly just wants to gather data with your consent to use it, but won’t actually allow you to sign up.
Ayexjustin,
Reserved mine
Can’t wait to get it. Was a very smooth and easy process.
Maliikm,
If you’re getting an error message
If you’re getting an error message when logging in for the first time, try opening the original verification email from Telly on your phone. When you click the button in the email, the app should open automatically and allow you to log in.

Updated review
I reckon they fixed the app, what I did before they fixed it was use a different email than the one I used on the website, fixed the issue. Don’t know if I’ll get a tv that way but yeah. My only issue when signing up was the lack of cities, my city wasn’t on the list, so I put my city in the second address bar thing. Anyway cool.

The App Seems Buggy
I’m really excited for the future of smart TVs. But, this app… Oof! Having nothing but trouble trying to set up the widgets and other features. I know they’re just getting started, but they should really work on these things, these bugs, before putting an app like this out. Again, I understand how new this is. I’m still excited, nonetheless.

Unable to signup for an account
It’s only been a day since the app was released. However I’ve been unable to open an account. I’ve emailed tech support and no response yet.
Skyler-Althaus,
Signing up issue fixed, apparently
Saw many reviews surrounding the issue of signing up. After signing up myself, I’m either extremely lucky or they fixed the issue. If I’m on the waitlist and I do end up getting the TV, I’ll update this review.

NEXT button hidden on app page
When trying to create an account after entering my email and new password I was unable to get to the NEXT button because it was hidden by the keyboard, and the keyboard didn’t have any up/down arrows to move from field to field. Tried doing this on both iPad gen 10 and iPhone 11. Sadly I won’t be signing up, and no I’m not stopping my world to use the contact support button.
Vallanique,
Doesn’t work for me
Kept trying to create an account and it just kept saying “Error” with zero text explaining what the error is. I can’t tell if it’s something I did (maybe password doesn’t meet criteria) or if it’s a server error or what. Not very user friendly to just say “Error” and give users context as to the error source. Gave up trying to create an account.
