The best experience out there
TennisPal has cultivated a tennis community allowing players of all levels to easily match with partners. I’ve played at the college level and in ITF tournaments, and I’ve found more opportunities to hit with top players on TennisPal than on any other application. I recently moved to Los Angeles where I didn’t know anyone, and TennisPal was an invaluable resource to help me build a solid tennis network. The broadcast and find your coach features help tennis players centralize all their tennis needs into a fully integrated platform. The user experience is also seamless.

Incredible user friendly tennis app
What a great tennis resource. I have been on this app for just two weeks and I have matched up with two competitive players at my level. TennisPAL is great because it’s a tennis community. (you tube videos tutorials) or in person video coaching. (Waiting to get my first critique from a coach). I also can get my fix of tennis updates on ATP scores. They also have real time posts which I haven’t used but seems like a fun feature if you want more social feeds that are tennis related. Great app!

UPDATE: The new update is very slick. More intuitive, more content, flows better.
I love this app. i’ve been using it for over a year and it has gotten me back into tennis. I stopped playing after high school and since coming home from college, the last few years have been tough getting back into it but I joined the west la liveball group and ive been all in. Hoping to get into tourneys more. This app is cool because they add a lot of new features, great community in Santa Monica area. Highly recommended.

All time the app ask me to do an update, but when I try to do that it is not available at a the apple store a new version,

I finally got the new upgrade, I started to use it and I recommned it, It is amazing know there are more than 10 player around me available to play tennis.

Works well. Just need more users and annoying false rating needs to be stopped
Messaging people is easy and there seems to be a good community of average level players although not all that active. Hard to find 12+UTR in any area but this app might help.
However I’ve seen a few 65 y.o ladies rate themselves as 13.0 UTR which is not actually humanly possible if you’ve ever seen a UTR 13 play and know what level that is.
Maybe the UTR rating could be transmitted to the app and that would stop the false self ratings seen by some users.

A Lot of inactive users
Overall this is a nice app but a few things can be done better. First off the primary rating system it uses is not NTRP so all the time you have to remember the conversion and figure out your rating. The biggest gripe is with the results. You can’t sort potential partners by distance. Second, 90% of players have been inactive for months or years. There is no filter to show only whose who are still active and use the app.

The new tennis coach feature 👍
There is a new coach feature. it’s actually pretty good! You can get feedback from coaches - I sent a video of my stroke to one of the coaches just to test it out. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not that expensive, much cheaper than on court lessons + I didn’t have to drive there through LA traffic!!! Very cool.

Found great hitting partners
I downloaded tennis pal because I just moved to a new town. I was looking for players above 11.0 UTR for practcie sessions with one of my professional tour students. We found multiple perfect hitting partners and regularly check back to change up our practice pals! Highly recommend

Good idea
This is a great app, easy to navigate and the idea is exactly what I was looking for. But trying to find new people to play with, is hard. Many people my level are listed as active over 20 months ago, I wish there was a way to filter out those that don’t use the app very often.

Insufficient privacy controls
Did not like this app. Publicly reveals when you were last active on the app with no way to disable that feature. No way to control who can message you despite having you enter preferences. Within my first few days on the app, received numerous messages from men 10+ years older than me. Otherwise found app design and functionality clunky.
