Description
'The 100 Japanese Poems' is an application to read poems called 'tanka' in 'Ogura Hyakunin Issyu' aloud with the '4-3-1-5 method' which is used for the 'carta' contests.
'Carta' is an Japanese card game in which players fight over the poem-printed cards. When a poem is read aloud, the player who touches the right card first can take that card. Finally, the person who has largest numbers will be a winner. (There are several other rules.)
To play 'carta' with these 100 poem cards, you need at least 2 things. One is the 100 card set, another is a person who read poems aloud. This application can serve as that reader role. It will be useful when all people there would like to play 'carta' as players or you want to practice 'carta' alone. It's also useful when nobody can read poems correctly. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU CAN'T PLAY 'CARTA' WITHOUT THE REAL CARDS.
You can also enjoy this application for learning. For this purpose you don't need real cards. You can enjoy watching cards with Japanese, seeing the meaning in English of each poem and listening the reading.
