Description
CQL, The Council on Quality and Leadership’s Personal Outcome Screening Tool (CQL-POST) is an interactive and user-friendly app for iPads, providing a snapshot view of a person’s quality of life. It explores 21 life outcomes, while assessing the presence, importance and priority of each outcome. The outcomes cover a full range of life experiences, including employment, inclusion, choice, relationships, respect and more.
The CQL-POST App can be used by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, those with mental and behavioral health conditions, and older adults. It uses easy-to-understand language, images, audio playback and a touch screen. THE CQL-POST App can present survey questions in English or in Spanish.
The CQL-POST App can assist human service organizations (large or small), nation-wide providers and governmental agencies in person-centered planning, while establishing future services and supports. Organizations can also directly gather aggregate information from the CQL-POST online database. With this information, an organization can spot trends in service gaps and successes, to better inform organizational change and improvement.
The CQL-POST App uses the ATLAS survey service for collecting and downloading survey data from the CQL-POST through AbleLink’s ATLAS cloud (see below). After creating a free user account, each organization using the CQL-POST App is provided 15 free uses of the App (per agency or organization) as a trial period. Additional uses of the App can be purchased for ongoing use of the CQL-POST and online access to the survey results database to download the aggregate survey data in a CSV file. Usage fees vary depending upon the term of service desired. Information about the per survey cost for ongoing use of the CQL-POST will be provided to your organization when you create your free user account. After purchasing the CQL-POST through the App store, there is no additional cost or obligation to complete up to 15 free surveys for your organization.
CQL partnered with AbleLink Technologies on the development of the CQL-POST App. The CQL-POST App has been developed by AbleLink using their research-based cognitively accessible survey system, ATLAS (Accessible Testing Learning and Assessment System). ATLAS was developed in part through research funding provided by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR). AbleLink is a pioneer and national leader in the development of technology-based innovations which use a person-centered design philosophy to enable individuals with cognitive disabilities to live a more self-determined and fulfilled life.
