Bmw19812003,
Thank you skygoblin for a quality gaming experience
It's quite easy to tell this finale and the preceding episodes where truly a labor of love. The art, music and detail in this series are excellent. I started playing this series when the original was released and have to wait the years between the following chapters; while it was frustrating it was worth the wait for a quality product. If I have any complaints at all it would be the final chapter may have been a little too easy but that also just might be me wanting it to last longer. Overall it's about +~-8 hours of gameplay so for the price you get your money's worth and a whole lot more. I can not recommend this series enough if you enjoy adventure type games, story telling, immersive art and music or just high quality work in general. Thanks again to those involved and hopefully there will be more in the future.
Afghfdhjky,
Best Adventure Game Since Monkey Island!!
When I was a child I played every adventure game I could get my hands on as I tried to recapture the magic I felt when I first played Monkey Island. While I’ve enjoyed many, none have lived up to that experience. I started to believe it was just a nostalgic reverence that made the experience more special than it really was. Now, at age 38, just occasionally playing escape the room games on my iPhone, I stumbled on “The Journey Down” and WOW! It has all the magic you could possibly desire in a point-and-click adventure game. And it hurts me, but I’m gonna day it.....I... I.... I think it’s better than Monkey Island!!

I’m so depressed that I finished the game now. I’ll probably wait a year and replay it again!
Minbari Ice,
Well worth it
Having played chapters 1 and 2, this IS a fitting finale. This was a longer game than the second installment and therefore the price is justified by the content/story line, art and music. I played it in one day in various sittings; took about 8 hours. Only a few tough spots, but got through by rechecking scenes that had new options after I had accomplished certain objectives.
I would suggest that you DO play all three chapters in order to make the story line coherent, but you could just pick up this game and play as is. But don't cheat yourself, play all 3 in order!
I am glad SkyGoblin stuck around for the 10 years to complete the story arc.
Brodees,
Real Heart & Soul
I stumbled upon this series from a related search and, after giving Chapter One a shot, I was immediately hooked and bought Chapter Two & Three (I can't imagine how hard it was for the longtime fans who had to endure the wait between each game's release). The graphics, the voice acting and the music are a cut above nearly all other iOS games I've played; the story is imaginative and captivating; and the characters are truly endearing. The third chapter, like the two before it, brims with heart and soul from start to finish, which is undoubtedly a reflection of the brilliant people who made it a reality. Bravo!
HoneyChildintheCity,
Incredible game
If you’re a fan of classic point and click games like Monkey Island and dig Afro-Caribbean culture you’ll LOVE The Journey Down. The characters are well written, the environments are rich and the original music is incredible. The main character Bwana feels like an endearingly goofy old friend and the storyline kept me engaged the whole time. I didn’t want the game to end! It truly is a one of a kind and you can tell the developers put so much work into it. I hope this game continues to be passed on for years because it’s a real gem.
Ncadmin,
A 3 Part Journey Worth Taking
All 3 games in the series are fun to play.
You have to play them in order as it’s a continuing story. The music, sounds and voice overs are great with fun characters and great accents. Believe me “Mon” when I tell you, A great value for the money. The third game had easier puzzles but they were fun and it was a little chatty at times. The scenes were drawn well with good design. I had zero issues on my iPhone 6s and the game saves automatically and does a good job of it. I still saved at times manually for good measure.
dancedani,
Sad It’s Over
But it was a great ride. I played the first two games on Steam & rebought them here to play the Third Chapter. I actually may have enjoyed this iOS experience better. I agree with those who said the Third Chapter was shorter, but man, were the graphics amazing. The soundtrack was phenomenal. Overall, a beautifully crafted a game.
*SPOILER*

I do wish that Kaonandodo had more of a role. I liked his “No lady, this is your adventure” attitude but wish we got to know him a little more than just the guy who was asleep or rafted Lina around.
Dubs1,
Amazing Finale to an Amazing Trilogy
This is a must buy

One thing I want to mention since you’ve probably played episodes 1-2 already so you know what awesomeness you are already in for, but it needs to be noted that the soundtrack for this episode was pushed to a WHOLE different level; it’s infused with reggae, jazz, rock n roll, jam rock and epic booming guitar....one of the best soundtracks in a game, imo. And it fits so perfectly with every scene.

Cmon, apple...give this game a bigger push in the App Store...this game deserves to reach a larger audience it was so well crafted.
Lolo87kiddo,
Love all 3!!!! So much love and energy put into game!
Thank you Developers for investing so much time and energy into making the Journey down! Your efforts have paid off and just wanted to let y'all know what a huge fan I am and how grateful I am that there are people like y'all putting out games of this sort! Love love love all chapters of the Journey Down! Worth the wait! Thanks guys. Soundtrack to game is truly amazing as well! Keep making games and I will gladly keep buying them! ❤️❤️❤️
Grim Fandango fan,
Disappointing ending
The game was alright. The puzzles were easy to solve. The graphics and the atmosphere were really nice. However, the ending was disappointing. It was too abrupt.

SPOILER ALERT! After all that trouble to get the horn, and then the hero just snatched the villain, and THE END! Why? The hero was defeated in the past. Shouldn't the protagonists help the hero defeat the villain? Maybe it was time and/or budget, but I feel the game could have been developed more, to make it more complete. The game moved too fast in each location, especially the part where Bwana and Kito escaped from Underland.

Also, why did we have to get the license plate?
