How long does it take to form a habit?
There is no one magic number such as 21 days or 30 days that works for all the habits. Studies show that it can take anywhere from 18 to 254 days depending on the type of habit. On average, it takes about 66 days to form a new habit.
Why just 1 small habit per day?
We need to get rid of the starting trouble to follow a daily routine. For example, to read a book, thinking about reading 1 full chapter might not help. But if you set a simple goal of just opening the book and reading just 1 word, you could succeed in overcoming the starting trouble. Because of this reason, we suggest trying only 1 simple to-do task per day, compared to other habit trackers where you manage many tasks.
Most people don’t complete the daily tasks because of the difficulty of the goals. By breaking it into smaller goals, it is achievable.
Why is it a 7 days challenge not a 14 or 21 days challenge?
No matter how big your streak is, you can never form a habit unless you have the right intention and intrinsic motivation. Whether you want to follow the routine or not is totally in your hands. We help you with taking the first step. Complete this short term goal for 7 days. Repeat.
Commit to your goal for 7 days and repeat it until it becomes a habit. It could take 21 days, 90 days, or more than 254 days to become part of your lifestyle. It will not work unless you have a good start.
Daily rewards
We have gamified the rewarding process by sending one chapter each day from the story “The Paradime”. Based on whether you completed your habit, the ending of the story will change. Stories are told in different formats such as chat fiction, comics, and visual novel as a metaphor for the transformation of our personality.
A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step. Break your big goal into simple habits and take the initial step.
