I played this game for a little bit and got to Caverns 2 before dying. Let me start with the few problems I noticed, so I can give the positives later.
First, though I quickly got used to them, the controls threw me off in the beginning. Having the weapons auto-attack for you is not something I’ve really seen before, so that’s definitely a good thing, but quite a few times, it felt like the weapons were wandering or not aiming at the enemy right in front of me. Another problem was that the game in its current state has very little content. It’s enough to make it fun to play, but it felt like I was getting the same things over and over again with no change. Also, not being able to see weapon stats and just guessing what you should trash or pickup was a bit annoying.
The great things about this game include the simplicity of the controls. I know I complained about them earlier, but it only took me one level to get used to them. The physics are pretty good, and the overall gameplay is great for a rogue-like. The graphics are wonderful, and make the game more unique. The audio is also pretty great.
I didn’t really encounter that many ads either, though I did only play for a short while. Also, having a button that lets you get gameplay ad-free for awhile by watching one ad is brilliant.
Overall, this little game is great and fun to just whip out and play for a bit. Yes, it doesn’t have much content right now, but I’m sure that’ll change soon. For the price, it’s definitely a game I’d try out!
Final note: I’m absolutely not an expert reviewer, nor did I play the game for that long. So, just try the game and see what you think. Small games like these that clearly have a lot of love put into them don’t get enough attention, so leaving some feedback is a great way to show your support and help the developer.
Sorry for making that so long, but thanks for reading!
