Few ads for free version- a must have.
I love this game so much. You can play the whole thing for free with only one ad per adventure and like 20 per bridge or you can buy a no ad purchase which also unlocks bridges for free. I’m only on the second island but I have fallen in love with Cheese and Jack and can’t wait to discover more about this games lore. The battle mechanic is easy to pick up on and not too hard to master. It has a very nice grab and go play style so I can pick it up whenever I’m free and set it down whenever work calls. Since you start each dungeon adventure from scratch it’s not a grindy game, and you don’t feel bored going into the same dungeon, but you can upgrade your character on the islands which are permanent! All in all this is one of my favorite games to play and I’ve gotten a friend to start playing just from playing it a bit around them. 10/10 highly recommend

Spectacular app game!
It doesn’t feel like your average annoying mobile apps you see on your social media, but I came across randomly this which seems really interesting to me in my eyes. In my opinion I love pixel styled and indie games and this is a great choice! I thought the gameplay was going to be simple and not much to it, but there’s actually dialogue and a story of what’s going on! You find clues, defeat enemies, and bosses in each area which is pretty gosh darn great! At the end of it you complete the game, but can start over again if you wanted to. I wish there another app like a part 2 of this series it’s so good! Overall, it’s a great way to not only kill time, but to enjoy the game in itself really. Thanks for those who created this! It was so fun!

Good but room to be a lot better
The campaign was a hit repetitive and lacked a little depth at times, but kept me interested long enough for me to want to know what was after it. And after beating it, I was really excited to start the new party mode, only to be slightly disappointed. The combination of small maps, dozens of enemies at a time, and several enemy ranged attacks happening all at once forces you to move around a crowded area only to be swarmed by melee enemies who have way too much range. So every level past ~30 is just a dps check that 9/10 times you struggle to keep up with, especially before you upgrade your base stats and unlock better characters. Plus you’re party CONSTANTLY get in the way of you walking and get you killed, why can’t I just walk through them? No amount of skill can keep alive past a certain point for the first 20+ attempts. Overall really fun, just minor things that really break the experience.

Here’s the deal
I grew up in the 80s in my car didn’t have automatic windows. I don’t miss it. I have no desire to go back to crank windows. In the same vein why would I want to go back to the graphics when there’s been so many improvements? That alone takes a star off. Unfortunately, or fortunately, the game is so beautifully done it was so much love and without ads or constant IAPs I wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t give it six stars! Can’t do that so I’ll stick with five. Thank you to the developer because we definitely need more games like this and less greedy games made by giant corporations. Also thank you to your wife and family for letting you do this and allowing us to enjoy it.

Amazing game overall
I don’t normally write reviews, but I also don’t normally finish mobile games either. This game was simple enough to learn, and interesting enough to keep me engaged. I ended up paying the $6 to unlock the other levels, and it was worth it. I think you could watch ads to unlock them one at a time, but i felt a game this quality was worth the money. If I had any complaint, I would like the player sprite (Cheese) to change when wearing different types of armor. It wouldn’t do anything to change the gameplay, more of a QOL update. I hope either this games gets more levels/hard mode or you release another game.

Great! But a little buggy…
I am loving this game! Even when ad walls started showing up (40 ads for new content? Really?) I was still enjoying the game and loved unlocking all of the upgrades. This is definitely a prime example of how Mobile Rogue-Likes should be.
That being said, it is not without its flaws. One small example of this would be that when I start up the game, my faithful companion seems to join me from a completely random point of the map, assuming they spawned in a place where they can even reach me.
When I do choose to watch ads, I’ll often experience the game crashing, either just before or just after the ad. If it doesn’t crash, however, it will instead sit with a loading circle on screen, forever. Both cases require a restart. Just a few minutes ago, however, I’ve begun to see an error screen, which occurs every second attempt at watching an ad. This error screen then goes into the infinite load circle. Effectively, I have to restart the game to watch 1 ad at a time.
I’ll gladly send a screenshot, if you wish. I hope this issue is resolved soon. I have places to go and dungeons to crawl. ^_^

Adorable and playable
Love this game! Was sad when I saw you had to pay but that was only if you wanted instant access, you can still play and advance you just have to watch ads for scrolls to make a bridge, haven’t had one ad during the gameplay itself! Just ads you choose to watch to advance, super smart and makes it easier if you don’t wanna or can’t pay for it! Highly recommend! Super cute and can play for an hour or two a day without getting bored which is saying a lot lol!

Good Experience
The game is actually pretty good. It gets more and more challenging as you progress which makes you want to farm for those meta progressions. It was a little short though. I wish the final boss felt more like a big deal rather than just being another boss in a level. The ending is great though. Maybe add a few more details to completely convey what it’s supposed to mean but I have a pretty good idea. Game play is good. It’s rewarding when you do well and punishing when you don’t. Overall, I would like to see a sequel or maybe a bigger game from the devs. What they have going here is good so I definitely want to see more.

Fun rogue like
It’s free but it’s a premium game. They basically let you play the first chapter and if you like it you can buy it. I love this rogue like! Satisfying progression with a fun story line. I like rogue likes but my biggest issue with some is there’s no real boost between the runs. This game has a good balance of little boosts to help you go further without it being too easy to grind up where you’re op.
Try it. You have nothing to lose. You’ll know right away if it’s the game for you. I got the game even before I was locked out.

Very Fun
I haven’t even got that far in the game and I’m having a blast. The only issue is that its very easy to get softlocked. If you don’t know what that means, it’s where you are basically stuck and there is very few things you can do while being stuck. If you go on top of the teleport pad before killing all the enemies, you will get stuck in an infinite loop of reading the dialogue and wont be able to move anywhere else. Other than that, this game and its art style are incredible.
