Tiến lên (Vietnamese: tiến lên, tiến: advance; lên: to go up, up; literally: "go forward"), also known as Vietnamese cards, Thirteen, American Killer, or Jamal Patel in India, is a Vietnamese shedding-type card game devised in Southern China and Vietnam.It is similar to Zheng Shangyou, which uses a specially printed deck of cards, Big Two, and other "climbing" card games popular in many parts of Asia. Tien len, considered the national card game of Vietnam, is a game intended and best for 4 players.

Tu Sac (Tứ Sắc - Four Colors) is a popular Vietnamese game played with chess cards. The objective of the game is to organize a hand of cards into a combination of valid Tu Sac sets of cards through a process of melding new cards into the hand and discarding out trash cards. Fun, but all rules aren’t correct

I enjoy this game. It passes by a lot of time when I’m bored. The only issue I’ve had is for example, I’ll play a pair of 10’s. All players will pass. I’ll continue on with pair of Q’s, A’s, and 2’s. I’ll then get chopped. In reality, they shouldn’t have been able to chop me since they passed on all the other pairs. This also happens with single cards played. Oh, they’re able to do that, but not me.

Excellent! I play everyday.

I've been playing tien len all my life, and I find this app as fun and as exciting every time! Sure, there are lots of chops/bombs, but it's what makes the game intriguing. The app runs smoothly on my iPhone 6. I have downloaded many other tien len apps, and this one is simply the best. Simple yet sophisticated. It is just you versus three computer players, and every time I play, I get better. It also explains the tien len game in a very through manner. I feel that this app is excellent for people of all levels, beginners and advanced players. I never feel like I am playing against computers, which is a 5-stars in my book!

Can’t stop playing this game

This game is very entertaining. I would like to see the developers add a small indicator to the playing board that shows the player number next to the player’s cards and leave the bonus/penalty points showing for the duration of the hand. Perhaps next to the player number.

Best iOS Tien Len App

I looked and found this to be the best. Don't listen to the people who say the AI is too hard. I'm not Asian and can hold my own. It's definitely challenging, but in a good way. Also, you can change the pass and play buttons by swapping in the settings.

Definitely hit it up for a good time and if you want a pick up and go app.

Rules are off

I should know since I was on the team to write the rules of the game.
1) You don't have straight suits programmed. A higher off straight can not beat a straight suit.
2) A 4 of kind slam (or bomb) does not beat 3 straight pairs. Once one slam is played it can only be beat by the same kind.
3) The game ends when a player has played all his cards, has 4 2's, or has 3 to A straight. NOT all pairs in hand.

Technically you can't call this game Tien Len, but legally you can.

Pass button

The play and pass button needs to be swapped, the app seems like it was made for a left handed person. Sometimes it glitches too

I like the app but my only concern is that I can’t play double straights when there’s a 2 played. Messes up my streak. Otherwise, it’s a good app.

Terrible

The a.i. In this game is way off. The computer controlled players always have way better hands, always get chops and get instant win hands all the time. If you download this game, be prepared to get very frustrated and lose a lot. Other than the gameplay, it's a nice looking app.
