Hey Space Nerds,
Here is the first major update that you all have been waiting for, planetary orbits! This was challenging feature to add, but it was worth the effort. This update helps improve the simulation for orbital mechanics and allows players to get a better understanding how our solar system works. Since this is a casual space game and isn’t meant for the hardcore sim, I decided to set the planetary orbital speed by half. This decision was made for a few reasons, but mostly to make planetary transfers easier. I may increase the speed to normal in the future once I add a trajectory planner in the coming months.
Besides planetary orbits, I have also added a bunch of requested features and quality of life improvements. I hope everyone enjoys this update and please leave any feedback and recommendations to help me continue to improve the game.

• Planetary orbits – planets now move around the Sun
• Asteroids can now be landed on and explored
• Added escape trajectory

• Mobile now has touch throttle option

Here is another quick update for Tiny Space Academy. This update includes a revamp of the docking mechanic as well as a few new features and bug fixes
Improvements:
• New Docking Mechanic – docking is still performed the same way, but what happens after you dock has completely changed. Now when you dock, the space crafts merge into one. They will share power, rotation, abilities, and staging. They basically become one giant single spacecraft. You can of course still undock to separate. The benefit of this comes when you are designing complex space stations with multiple attachments. The other significant benefit is that it improves game performance and reduces related bugs.
• New Fuel Transfer Mechanic – Due to the change in the docking mechanic, I had to redesign the fuel transfer system. Now when you have more than two fuel tanks in one rocket whether you are docked or not, a fuel transfer button will appear. When pressed, a list of fuel tanks will appear on the top left. Here you can select and drag the tank you want to transfer. That simple.
• Added module Z layering to Assembly Editor Tools
• Active Rockets list are now organized by planet
• Cheats no longer disable achievements
• When Editor Tools are open, selecting a module no longer drags it. Selecting it twice will enable dragging.
• Main Menu Earth clouds now rotate

What’s next?
I have received a lot of feedback and I am listening to everyone’s input. I put up a poll on what players want me to focus on next and with overwhelming results, everyone wants planet orbits. So, the next update will focus on planet orbits, new docking mechanic, and fixing the lag spikes that messes with orbits. I will also add a bunch of small features as well. Stay tuned for updates.

Here is the first big update for Tiny Space Academy. This update focuses on bug fixes and some requested features. I am going to start work on improving the tutorial next. I have received a lot of feedback about the tutorial and how it needs improvements. I am planning to get the next update out within a couple of weeks.
