Traditional affirmation cards rely on the brain to overcome its inherent negativity bias. But if an affirmation does not feel immediately true to the reader, consciously or subconsciously, the brain will reject the information. Worse, it may affirm that the opposite is true because it is the more deeply rooted belief. When this happens, an affirmation actually has a negative effect instead of a positive one.
Today, I Practice allows the brain to learn something new by trying something new. Offering straightforward, realistic approaches to reframing experiences based on both cognitive and behavioural research, this deck is an invitation to change how your mind perceives and navigates stressful events.
