With this update we switched to a completely new audiobook player. The download of audiobooks is now more reliable and the playback has improved in stability. You can choose to restrict the download to a single chapter in the track list or opt for a full download of the audiobook, which ensures seamless playback.
The reading position is saved more often and there is a new button on the home screen and in the library to manually synchronize the app with the tolino cloud.
You can now adjust the margins of a page in three steps. And together with several other improvements we fixed problems with some books, freezes at the end of chapters, cut off pages and page numbers.

Apple Tolino App
Sorry but the App is confusing ...uploading a purchased book from the store is complicated and takes a long time from the purchase to have it finally in the reading app...
Dumm and dummer,
Needs major improvement
I really want to like the app, but I can’t. It has too many flaws. To download a book is a major hassle as it will just not download automatically, no matter what I do. I was in contact with support, a.k.a. the bookstore, where I buy my audiobooks from which are supposed to go through tolino, but they were literally useless as well. At least there is some consistency in some thing, lol. there are enough audiobook apps out there, where to Lena could get some ideas from so that the user could actually have a folder with new books/unread books, books read, books and progress, etc. so considering how super basic this app is, it is unbelievable that it still does not work.

Sorry I do spend a lots of money on books, would love to be able to read them. IBS was not good, but better of this one for sure.

Hard to use
Libby, Kindle Are both better to use. Even pocket reader seems better.
In tolino Highlighting is painful. I can’t copy a text easily that i want to put in my notes. It takes two steps to change font size (not possible to just zoom with two fingers), changing the page doesn’t always work on first try, when K leave it open, it blanks out and I have to restart it, etc etc etc.

Great app! Although my eReader is old (and my iPad too), they coordinate great! Very easy to use, no bugs. When you buy a book on Thalia or other, it almost transfers the book on the tolino app directly. Very nice, have no bad things to say!

Unreliable
The app is very unreliable and not recommendable unless you have to use like I do. Compared to e.g. Apple’s books app the Tolino app is still in baby shoes. Even something simple like saving the page where you stopped reading is not working well. Needs a lot of work.

Difficult
Very difficult to use. Logged on to the app, cannot download my content as I am instructed to log on again on the app. Repeatedly do this and app simply does not accept userID and password.

Can’t compare to Kindle
Frequently fails to return to last page read when reopening book (workaround: manually bookmark your place). No dictionary or Wikipedia support. Adobe’s Overdrive is superior for ePub files.
